Here’s our second shopping guide of the day for theTexas electricity market. This entry covers the Texas New Mexico Power (TNMP) footprint. This includes a large pocket of service in West Texas, as well as lots of smaller pockets of service all over the state. The electric rates in this TDSP are middle of the road in terms of pricing, with rates starting in the upper 6’s of kWh for month to month plans. That makes it a bit more expensive than Houston, but not by much, while cheaper than both AEP TDSPs. The list below flushes out the cheapest different electricity plans from many of the most recognizable electricity providers operating in Texas. It’s a good place to begin shopping to save money on electricity.
