Direct Energy's 12 Hour Power plan is their version of a "free nights" plan, where customer's energy charge is 0 during the 9 PM to 9 AM window. The only problem is the energy charge during the day is triple what you see in other electricity plans. One top of that, it has a $9.95 monthly recurring charge. In short, this is a very expensive plan, there are cheaper options that offer the same kind of usage windows.

Direct Energy's 12 Hour Power 12 is their version of a Time of Use plan, or in other words a "free nights" type of plan. These types of plans are good for folks who can consistently run most of their appliances or charge their electric vehicles at night. The plan has a window from 9 am to 9 pm, which is pretty good.
