THE SPE RIPOFF
Smart Prepaid Electric has the worst customer service, the worst automated phone system, the longest time taken to make a payment, and a Web site that doesn't work and may be hacked, according to Google. THEY'RE THE WORST! THEY SUCK!
Horrible service/ Also a Scam?
This is the worst energy company I have ever had to deal with. The customer service is horrible! HORRIBLE. I have to get transferred to a supervisor or manager every time I call because no one is able to help or answer questions knowledgeably. I also feel like they are scam and charge you more when they feel like maybe you are not keep an eye on how they are charging you. I brought up why they are charging me once a week when before it use to be maybe every 2-3 weeks and they could not answer me and then I went back to paying what I normally did... suspicious.

Took me two years to get my $40.00 balance back. Stay away Stay away Stay away
Dilatory
I used this service over a year. I always sent them payments in $500.00 increments. 1st came the lie . I was told when I moved it would just transfer over. It did not. The money mongers wanted more money. I told them there policy was stupid and went to another provider I sent them $500.00. Smart plays stupid and say that it takes 4-6 weeks. My ex was a Swede. She got money off a debit card at an ATM in Texas. I have given them one week and then I will file with the utilities commission and Texas Attorney General on Fraud. I understand book keeping and that it may take a while but this is stupid and it is my money,MY MONEY. They won't even tell you they are a sub of TARA Electric and I will bet that has no Texas pronunciation. I want my money and I want it NOW, My money not theirs. MY MONEY,I didn't wait 4-6 weeks to send them money. They delay and lie and I would get a mouse on a wheel before I would use them.
HORRIBLE COMPANY. RUN FROM THEM QUICK AS YOU CAN
Biggest rip off on thre market. They will suck you dry and leave you in the dark!
