How do I get a free Nest thermostat?
Just order one of the electricity plans listed below, and after your electricity turns on your provider will give you details about how they will send your free Nest or other smart-home thermostat.
Keep in mind that these thermostats are not inexpensive! Most smart thermostats will cost you between $150 - $300 depending on the brand and features. Knowing this, you can understand that if a power company gives you the thermostat, they expect that you'll be their customer for a good long while. You'll likely have to commit to a longer term plan, and if you cancel or move before the end of that plan, they may charge you some amount for the thermostat. This is separate and in addition to any possible early termination fee, so make sure you are willing to commit to the length of the contract.
