I hate choosing electric companies
When I moved to S TX I had to decide on an electric company. I've used TXU for years, decades, actually. I chose Entrust, and have been pleased with my rates, but who knows? I'm in half the space, for about $10 less, so...??? I like that I get a weekly report of my usage.

I have been very satisfied with our service from ENTRUST ENERGY. I have recommended them to friends and neighbors when discussing energy bills, especially in the summer months. My bills have been reasonable and affordable. Now that my service is up for renewal I was concerned that my rate would increase considerably. When I called to discuss renewal I spoke with HENRY. He was polite, in a genuine way. He was patient and took the time to explain things. He listened to my concerns, he repeated himself when I needed him to without rushing. Henry found a plan for me that is actually a little less than what I have been paying. I didn't expect that. I will continue to recommend ENTRUST ENERGY to my neighbors and friends. Excellent customer service. Great rates. Thank you ENTRUST ENERGY.

Entrust Energy
Wanted to see what this company was all about, just did a 6 month contract. I liked the weekly power usage we used. The rate I paid was outstanding, will stay around if I can have the same rate. Was a good experience with Entrust Energy.

Billing
During winter storms I did expect the electric bill to increase some. My mothers electric bill was drastically increased. Her bill was for 233.38. She received the bill and it was paid on the 7th. Then on the 8th she received another bill stating her electric bill was 391.00. I want to know why.

I just talked to one of entrust energy's representatives concerning our move back to Minnesota for the summer and how best to re-instate at the end of October. The rep was very easy to visit with and did research to get us exactly what we were hoping for!!! We highly recommend this company!!!

Entrust Energy has provided me with the best customer experience ever. There was a slight issue with the start date my services however it was rectified swiftly. Not only did Entrust energy provide me with amazing rates and discounts but their service was exemplary. They know how to treat Veterans and mire importantly they know how to treat people.
Electrict prices .....
My experience with entrust has been ok so far , but I'm a new customer .
I changed electric co's because the prices for my last co. was way to high.
Prices with entrust co. are Still way to high . My wife and I are retired on S/S only and that isn't much , let me tell you.
It is a HUGE" straggle for us to pay these high electric prices.
Insurance , Medicine , and food prices are Major factors for Most of us elderly people .
Excellent Rate, Need an App
I enjoyed Entrust's service. My rate was excellent and my bills were always low and/or manageable. The website worked well and made making payments easy. I could never load bills from the website on my phone, unfortunately. The only request is that Entrust have an app developed to make payments and electricity tracking easier. I liked receiving the emails of energy usage so I had an idea of what my bill would be. I wouldn't mind working with Entrust again.
Straight forward plans
Entrust plans were easy to understand and straight forward. So much better than other plans charging more if you you end up using too much or not enough electricity to get the "discount" rate! I didn't have actual conversation with customer service. I received late payment texts even a day after getting confirmation of payment texts? The billing was always accurate and I was never charged a late fee, but I gave 4 stars for the billing acct managment for that reason.

Entrust Energy Service
The sign up for service was fairly easy through the web site. Paying the first bill online wasn't so easy. Although I tried, for some reason it didn't happen and I ended up paying a little more for the late fee. I tried to set up the account for automatic payment. I'll have to go through the next billing cycle to see if it works.

1st month was great
1st bill was around 150 which is reasonable but the 2nd bill jumped 100 dollars??? I thought I found a descent electricity provider

Great rates, even better customer service.
I always shop around for electricity rates when my contract is due. This time i did the same but i decided to renew with Entrust. They kept me on the same plan even though the prices had moved up. My rate is 0.6 cents per kw cheaper than the lower rate i found during my research. (from 16 different companies.)
The overall customer experience is really good (Billing, customer service, etc)

Best energy company yet
I believe entrust energy is the best electric company in the game today. They have no monthly customer fee and no hidden charges.(TXU). They gave me 200$ for signing with no deposit.

Provider switch
I have contacted Entrust by phone and email to determine why my account is inactive. I received a final bill that included a early termination fee however I never requested my service switched to another provider. I have no idea who this new provider is and I am not getting any answers.

Idanla was very patient, professional and kind. She is a keeper. She did not help me in billing, pricing or order. Your survey is not one I would fill out. Not user friendly.

8 KWs when Power Was Out
I read the Smart Meter disclaimer which gives Entrust an out on my weekly power usage. However, I must speak out that on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, I and most in Zip code 75218 had no power due to the devastating June 9, 2019 storm.
Delay at services
I paid deposit at 02/28/18 and it was supposed to switched me to the company after 24 hours.But , they forgot . And they connected me on 03/19/18 and I paid 100 dollars penalties to my leasing office. Entrust Energy appologized for delay and commitment to return my deposit after 6months but they didnt. Now Im gonna move to my new apartment from Dallas to Mackinney, I sent them an email and called them several times and explain my situation.But who cares. They just wanna charge me for early termination. I really dont know how to explain for them that it is your problem not mine ,that u connected us to Entrust Energy on 03/19/18 instead of 02/28/18 . If they look at my deposit payment date , its on 02/28/18

Utility bill spiked up when no one's home
I live in an apartment and my utility is usually low because I'm always at work. However, there were months when I was on a business trip out of state (for full months) and I was not home at all, but my utility bill was MORE THAN DOUBLE than usual for that month that I was gone and the month after that. I made sure all the appliances were off and unplugged, I even have pictures to make sure before I've left for my trip. I called the service representatives. They say will see what they can do. Bottom line, months after, they have not done anything. I have not heard from them at all. I ended up paying everything with no further explanation to my concern that I brought up with them.
Bend over... here it comes
My utility bill was almost as much as a house payment. I call because I had a charge from TDU of $284 plus electricity charge if $418..... I called and they said it is the charge for maintenance of the poles, so I called that company (TNMPower). They said it is always a charge the bill companies. So I am triple paying on my utility bill! Entrust tried to explain it away. But they are just raping the public. Beware

Said one thing did another...
I liked the price but I advised the CS door-to-door rep that I would ONLY switch if I could keep my current due date from my previous provider. She assured me I could, NO PROBLEM, so I decided to sign up. I was asked to officially verify I was going to sign up with them over the phone by a different CS rep, to which I explained to her MULTIPLE times about my desire to keep my exact same due date as with my previous provider, to which she stated, of course NO PROBLEM, totally doable. Well needless to say my bill is due on not only a different date but also a date which makes it in line to be disconnected every month. They lied to my face and over the phone. Don't switch if you need to keep a specific date.

Customer Service
Initially, I appreciated the service from Entrust Energy. The savings proved significant; however,
I am very disappointed with their customer service. I requested months back that my bill be moved to the 21st of the month. It was never explained that my monthly billing dates would change. I have been trying to split my bill based on my pay dates and could not figure out why I kept recieving pink notices. I take responsibility for not checking sooner into the problem.
Since I cannot seem to arrange my billing according to my financial needs, my family will be leaving entrust. I have always been a major part of customer service within my organization. I have noticed over the years that the customer is no longer right and the corporations do not care about our needs.

No Deception, No tricks, No "Policing", Positive Sales Man!
Luis knocked on my door, and asked to speak with an adult. I was not in the mood for sales people. I have to say I made him wait in the Hot Texas Sun for a good 10 minutes. When I stepped outside, Luis first identified himself as being a representative of Entrust Energy. He then told me that many companies overcharge for electricity, and he would like to see if his company could save me any money on my electric bill. My surly response was something along the lines of what are your kilowatt rates? He told me that he would like to compare the rates his company can offer me with what I am currently paying, and then asked if I had an electric bill he could use to show me. I told him I would have to look. I went back into my air conditioned house and, after about 10 minutes, I went back outside and told him that I did not have a copy of a bill that he could look at. He then asked me if I knew what my current rates were. I told him yes, but did not tell him what I was currently paying. He then pulled out a paper and explained that he could give me a certain kilowatt rate. This was based on a certain amount of useage, was a two year fixed rate, the contract would include a 300 dollar early termination fee if I chose to leave before the contractual agreement date. He then explained that the TOD rate would be billed at the TOD rate with no up charge from entrust. He explained that if taxes went up or down that would affect my bill as well as a couple of other things like that. He also showed me rates that were based on lower amounts of useage. I asked if I had a power outage or anything like that who would I contact...entrust or tnp? We discussed that in some detail because some things would go through entrust and others through tnp. He also told me that I would be given an emergency number to call if anything happened outside of normal business hours. I then asked him how much of a deposit I would have to pay. He asked if my service had been disconnected for nonpayment in the last 6 months. I said no, but my credit score is not the best. He said that he could not tell me about the deposit. He would have to call the office, they would need to verify certain information (which he also explained), and then they would ask for my permission to run a credit check. He said he believed it was a utility credit check. He then told me that it would take about 5 to 10 minutes, and if Entrust wanted me to pay a deposit just to tell the lady I wasn't interested. He said if you are already with one electric company, and you are basically satisfied, and another wanted you to pay a large deposit then they weren't really saving you money. He did tell me that he had already visited with some other people in the area, and a few of them were told they would have to pay a deposit. I said I am not interested in any type of deposits. He then told me again that he had no way of knowing himself if a deposit would be required, but if I was willing to let him make that call we could find out. I said go ahead, but I don't expect much. TXU had been by not that long ago and had wanted a huge deposit. He made the call. The young lady called me on my phone to verify my number. She had me verify some information, and ran the check. She told me that I qualified for NO deposit. She explained that if I agreed to switch to entrust, they could email me the full contract, my rights, etc. She also asked if I understood that I could cancel my request within three federal business days with no penalties. I agreed. Luis then gave me some paperwork that contained his personal cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns that he could help me with or that he could at least get me to the right person to help me. He told me that there was also a referral program that could save me a little more on my bill if I knew of anyone else that I thought they could help save money. This was very well presented and not pushy at all. It came across as just more information that he wanted me to be aware of. He did not go into detail about it, but did tell me it would be in the papers that they emailed to me. He then told me that he had no way of knowing if we would qualify or not, but there was another program that works with all electric companies in Texas that I could look into and apply for if I wanted. He gave me the information to contact them at my discretion. I write this review because I have seen many reviews on here that talked about the salesman trying to "police" the area, trying to trick people into switching companies without realizing what they were doing, and basically just trying to fleece people. My salesman's name was Luis. He was met by a surly skeptic. He was hot, made to wait in the hot sun and get hotter, he was honest, and explained in detail what his company had to offer. He could not compare bill to bill, or apples to apples as we say around here, because I did not provide him with my current information. He never disrespected any other electric company. He very simply and clearly explained what his company could do for me. If he did not know the answer to a question I had, he told me so. Then offered to make a phone call and find out for me. He offered to wait if I wanted to research his company and read online reviews. He left my home with a cold drink and a sale.

Cheaper
We signed a 2 year contract and so far they have been way cheaper than txu. Our lights also stay on more often during storms than they did with txu. We haven't had any problems yet and hope there will not be any.

SORRY, SORRY, SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE 45 MIN. WAIT TIME
I HAVE BEEN WITH ENTRUST FOR A YEAR AND FIVE MONTHS.. LAST MONTH (DEC 17 2013) AS MY FAMILY AND I WAS SITTING IN THE LIVING ROOM, THE LIGHTS WENT OUT. I LOOKED OUTSIDE FOR NEIGHBORS, NONE WHERE OUT.. I CALLED ONCOR TO CHECK FOR OUTAGES.. THE MESSAGES THAT CAME FOR MY ADDRESS WAS THAT AT THE ELECTRIC COMPANIES REQUEST, SERVICES WHERE DISCONNECTED! IMMEDIATELY I WAS UPSET.. OUR BILL HAD BEEN PAID IN FULL. SO I CALL ENTRUST AND I WAS ON HOLD FOR OVER 40 MINUTES AND FINALLY SOMEONE ANSWERED THE PHONE AND I BEGAN TO ASK WHY WAS MY LIGHTS OFF. THE YOUNG LADY PROCEEDS TO INFORM ME THAT SOMEONE AT MY HOME REQUESTED FOR ANOTHER COMPANY TO PROVIDE SERVICES.. NO, NOT TRUE AT ALL BEING THAT MY HUSBAND AND I ARE THE ONLY TWO ADULTS IN THE HOME.. CHILDREN 7 AND UNDER IN HOME.... LONG STORY SHORT.. I ASK FOR A SUPERVISOR, WHICH WAS RUDE AND UNCARING AND I HAD TO REPEAT EVERYTHING THAT I TOLD THE PREVIOUS REP. OH DID I SAY I HAD TO WAIT 15 MINS FOR THE SUPERVISOR? SO THE SUPERVISOR SAID SHE WOULD "TRY" AND HAVE MY LIGHTS BACK ON TODAY! I SAID MA'AM THAT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE DUE TO THE FACE THAT I HAVE TWO, COUNT THEM TWO PEOPLE THAT ARE ON OXYGEN MACHINES AND WE HAVE TO HAVE ELECTRIC Y BACK ON TODAY AND FAST. AGAIN SHE SAID SHE WOULD "TRY" AND NOT VERY CONCERNED WITH MY ISSUES.. SO I HUNG UP AND CALLED MY LOCAL STATE SENATORS OFFICE WHERE A NICE LADY WAS VERY CONCERNED AFTER ME TELLING HER WHAT HAPPENED.. SHE STATED THAT SHE WOULD CALL THE COMPANY AND SEE WHAT IS GOING ON.. WHILE I WAITED FOR A PHONE CALL BACK.. THE SPIRIT OF GOD UNCTION ME TO CALL ONCOR BACK AND I PRESSED THE SELECTION FOR EMERGENCY AND DOWNED POWER LINES.. A LADY ANSWERED AND I BEGAN TO EXPLAIN MY SITUATION TO HER ... NOT EVEN TEN MINUTES WENT BY SHE STATED SHE FULLY UNDERSTAND AND SHE WAS SO SORRY FOR ALL THAT HAS HAPPENED.. AND WHILE I WAS TALKING WITH HER, THE LIGHTS WHERE BACK ON.. SHE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT MY SERVICED PROVIDER HADN'T CALLED IN TO REQUEST SERVICES TO BE RESTORED AND I HAD TO CALL THEM BACK. TO LET THEM KNOW TO PUT THE ORDER REQUEST IN... I EXPLAINED THAT I CALLED ONCOR AND THEY WHERE ALREADY BACK ON.. THANKS! LAST NIGHT 1/8/2014 I WAS ON HOLD 45 MINS. ONCE AGAIN DUE TO THE FACT WE RECEIVED A TERMINATION NOTICE FOR THIS MONTH! WOW! REALLY ENTRUST.. WE PAID OUR BILL FOR DEC AND UNKNOWINGLY MY HUSBAND PAID OVER $225.00 WHAT WAS DUE. SO WE SHOULD HAVE ANY TERMINATION NOTICES IN FACT WE SHOULD HAVE ABOUT $126.00 IN CREDIT... THE SUPERVISOR BEGINS TO WEAVE HER WEB OF DECEIT AND SAYS, AFTER WE CREDITED THE $300.00 EARLY TERMINATION FEE THAT WAS NOT AT YOUR FAULT YOUR BILL FOR JAN IS 99.00 OK LADY WE SHOULD STILL HAVE $126.00 IN CREDIT.. NO YOU ONLY HAVE .30 CENTS IN CREDIT! NO LADY YOUR WRONG, I HAVE A CALCULATOR AND YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR FIGURES.. SHE SAYS HOLD ON.. Good company until it is time to renew
Entrust called and sent a few letters telling me that my contract was up and it was time to renew. I decided to go with a different company that had a better rate. Entrust then hit me with a $200 early cancelation fee. They had told me that my contract was up. It turns out that I actually had 2 weeks left on the contract. Customer service was no help. When trying to talk to a supervisor about lowering the fee they just say that no one is available but that they will have someone call back but no one ever does. I will not recommend this company to anyone. $200 for being 2 weeks early is excessive and since I switched companies they will not work with me.

This company cut my 85 year old Mother's power off because there billing department double billed for an invoice and the bank froze their payment. Now they won't except a payment but wanted her to go to HEB to pay the bill then send them proof and then they will cut it back on. Charging her over 13 cents a kilowatt and thats a discount rate so they told her and they locked her into a contract which she has been paying for a year. Horrible Horrible experience with both of the employees I spoke to. Disgusting
Switched my service without notification
My service was transferred to another company (discount power) without my consent or notification. I was notified with a disconnection notice from discount power in the mail because my auto-payment information does not transfer. I would not recommend this company. The least they could do is to notify the consumer of the switch so they are aware. I was very happy with this company until this point.
AWFUL
Always charging new fee amounts and I don't even know what the fees are. My first months bill was only 100.00, cool. Every bill after has been over 250, more to 300.00. I absolutely regret signing up with this company and would NEVER recommend anyone to use Entrust as their provider.
Keeps going up
Our actual usage cost was 178 but total bill is 282 , the ac is set higher than normal, ate cold meals to avoid cooking, use fans and bill still went up nearly 50 bucks this month, wtf, this is crazy, I'm ready to break our contract

We had TXU forever. Then the door to door people come by & make Entrust sound too good to be true. I took the bait! Bad choice. Entrust said they'd pay our leaving fee with TXU. They lied! TXU has sent us to collections. Do not trust Entrust!

Worse Company Ever
This company is Trouble.. We signed the contract for my business. First month got a whole different bill than the sample bill copy I had. I discussed that with the company and they said sorry for giving you the wrong bill. This is where I made a mistake that even knowing this bill is not matching the sample bill, I stayed with the company as the difference was very minimum. Now after 9 months, my bill has doubled. The same amount of KW used and the price is much higher. There is something called Ancillary charges that show up on my bill with different price every month. and the explanation is that is a charge that is forwarded to them and they forward it to me. Also TDU charges have double which I have already called Center Point about and they are checking that as I officially filled the complained so should know soon about why the TDU charges have double since than. This company is sucking our blood and no way to fight it as a contract is signed and I am stucked with it. Lesson learned to never buy from a rep. my bill is doubled and I pray everyday that they will get what they are screwing people out of.
Entrust gauging customers
I normally paid about 1000 per month and entrust sent me a bill for 3799. They have done that to countless people in Houston. When I asked about the reason, they said electrical prices went up and they didnt expect this.
Entrust Sucks!
Had the nice gentleman come by house and solicit this #1 Entrust Energy that is better than TXU. i switched. and for the last three months, my bill has gone up and up and up. this month, it's almost 400 bucks at .12 cents a kilo. although the bill says .08 cents but the TDU deliver charge is over a hundred freaking dollars which averages out to .12 cents! PLUS, they never paid my early disconnection fee like they said they would. so that has been sent to collections by TXU. I've emailed customer service three times with no response. yeah, i'm starting to wonder if this company is really legit. Oh, i i was also told that we would get a refund for overpaying with TXU. that never has happened either. I've never paid this much with TXU.....ever! not a happy customer and their customer service sucks!
Contract amount
I have had service for 2 years of my 3 year contract and received a bill with over a thousand dollars in excess charges for each of my service addresses. Apparently the contracted amount is not what they want to go by anymore. Spoke to customer service telling me that they can charge whatever they want at any time. 2,000 over the regular bill for one month is ridiculous. They claimed they sent me a notice and to this day no notice has been received by us. Obviously, contracted prices are not binding to them. Never in 30 years of business have we received a bill this ridiculous with no change of usage. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Contracts mean nothing.
Never again
Once I got my first bill, and it was not what was described to me, I couldn't wait for it to expire. Now six months from the contract termination, They terminate the contract and hit me with a $300 termination fee. I was enrolled in "Auto-Pay", so I never opened the bills, which would always say "Do Not Pay". Somehow I was "un-enrolled" from Auto-Pay, and while on vacation they disconnected me and terminated. Never again
Overcharges
Since February when they overcharged me on charges per kwh from contract of .076 to .1270, I have had constantly received balance forward charges on following bills. I've overpaid them at least $42 and expect another overcharge next month per their record. I'm reporting them to PUC and BBB.
26 days to turn a meter on ughhhh
The phone guys are ok, but the 45 min experience 3 days a week to get a follow thru to have a broker call was exhausting and frustrating. I really believe the information he collected from me daily went into the abyss. 26 days, never a call back to see if I was actually helped. Typical millennial customer service... so I ask the canned questions, but incapable of logic trail troubleshooting. OSCAR was terrific and got it accomplished, he called me back and got the broker to call.

Entrust False Claims
In March 2018 an Entrust Energy sales person convinced me that Reliant Energy was over charging me for electricity because I was entitled to a 65+ plan for senior citizens. The sales person computed that I would receive a refund check for about $1000 in about six months and my electric bill would decrease.In January 2019 I compared Entrust and Reliant bills and found that Entrust was charging me more than Reliant had been charging and I had not received a refund check as promised. In phoned Entrust and was told that they had no relationship with Reliant and could not make a refund.I told them that if they could not lower their rate that I would transfer to Reliant. They told me that I would be charged $300 if I left the contract early and I told them that Entrust had broken the contract. On January 13, 2019 I E-mailed them a copy of their sales person's calculations and a copy of my last Reliant statement for their review. A few days later I phoned Entrust to learn the status of their looking into my situation and was put on hold. After one hour and 15 of being on hold, I hung up my phone. On January 16 I phoned Entrust and they said that they were reviewing my situation and would have an answer very soon and said they would call back later. I told them that I would not be available later and we agreed that they would phone me at 8:00 am on the 17th. With no call fron Entrust by 8:30 am, I called they and told them that I was switching electricity providers. Then I switched to Reliant.On the plus side for Entrust, all their phone people were polite and all said how sorry they were.

Worst Electric Company Ever
To begin with, the young man that came to my door peddling this garbage company lied to me, a lot. I was offered a plan that did not actually exist at all and the rate I was told was not the rate thatI ended up with once billing began. I was offered a promotional deal where I was allegedly going to receive a $100 bill credit 3 times periodically for being a customer. Never happened AND I was later told by a customer service rep that there is no promotional deal like that with Entrust. In addition to all of this, the customer service is terrible, at best. Very rude representatives, unwilling to assist 99% of the time if you need any kind of extension or other help with your account. As soon as I have the money back from my taxes, I am paying the breach of contract fee and getting TF out of this contract with this terrible company. Oh and did I mention that my bill is literally TWICE as high with Entrust than it was with my previous provider?! Yep, twice. Do yourself a huge favor if you are reading this review and contemplating using Entrust Energy - RUN as fast as you can away from them.

The company set up an on line account in my name for service at a bogus address... so far they've called me asking for $900.00 covering a few months of power deliver to a non existent address . have reported the issue twice to no avail.

Very disappointed
I switched to Entrust because on paper it seemed to be a good price. I use very little energy really and my bill keeps increasing. Now I was charged a $20.00 Excessive DNP Notice Charge which I have no idea what this charge means. I picked this company because they said it would be a simplified bill without 10 different charges. That is not the case, new charges are added with no explanation. My bill is excessive for my actual energy use. When I call I get no answers.

Unethical practices
moved out of state due to my mother-in-law passing away and leaving the house to my husband. I was told once I provided change of address, the $300 early termination fee would be waived. I provided the info via email. A rep called, took my final payment, told me the fee was waived, said I had a ZERO balance and the account is closed. She even expressed condolences on my loss. Now I get a call from another rep saying the they cant process the change of address information with the official confirmation number provided by the USPS and to send them the DEED to the house to POSSIBLY see if the fee would be waived. The deed isn't even in my name and per the conversation on a recorded line, I have a zero balance. So they make up a story to discredit the USPS and try to take advantage of a grieving family who just uprooted to another state. What a way to treat a long time customer who has never been late. I did everything I was contractually obligated to do. They do not value their customers and I will be contacting the Public Utilities Commission regarding this unethical practice.

Terrible experience
I had Entrust Energy for 2 months. The second month my power was cut off. Called the company and they said they didn't receive my payment which had been mailed by the bank 10 days earlier, so I paid online with a credit card. Went to the bank the next day and got a stop payment on the check. A week or so later they apparently found the original check and for some reason tried to apply it to my account and then charged me $30 for the check not being good. I called the company and explained that I didn't even owe them any money and it seems it was them that misplaced the check in the first place. After talking to several people they refused to take the $30 charge off my account. I felt I had no choice but to cancel my account which, of course, caused them to charge me a $300 early termination fee and they also turned me in to the credit bureau which dropped my credit score significantly. Think twice about dealing with these people!

Worst Company in Texas
Overcharging. A lady in the town next over to my family (we just cancelled our service with them finally!) told us today her mother passed away rather suddenly. She had Entrust, now they're going after her poor grieving daughter to pay a "termination fee"? Money hungry CROOKS.

One of the worst utility companies I have dealt with
One of the worst experiences I have had with a utilities company. There was a transfer of ownership in a business I was buying that wasn't completed for 1 month after the original documents were submitted. I ended up losing power and having to close my business and turn away customers for 1 full day as a result. Come to find out there was a missing form that was needed that the previous owner and myself did not submit. This form was not requested by Entrust initially. When they saw they needed it they called me but did not leave a voicemail, did not email me, did not send me a letter etc. With the nature of telemarketers today many people do not answer unknown numbers. Apparently Entrust doesn't understand this and decided that since they "tried" calling that it was my fault the change was not processed. I will be terminating my service with them immediately as I cannot risk this type of negligence in the future with my business.

This sales person whom I reluctantly opened the door and let into my home is giving me trust issues with anyone who comes knocking on my door in the future. If they don't have my phone number they won't get in. She went through the steps about how I can save and pay the same amount each month She put me on the phone to sign up with a customer service guy. He ran a credit check that required me to make a deposit. Before I could complete the phone call the woman reached over and hung up the phone without my consent. When I told her I don't have that deposit amount she tried to talk me into putting my deceased husband's name on the account. I thought she was crazy or trained well. I told her I would never stoop to that lever and goes against everything I believe In... She didn't stop there she tried to get me to ask my son to get on the account and when the company calls and ask if he's the spouse, he is to say yes. I knew then I had a problem with this company. It wouldn't have went well if she had said that to my son . HOW DISHONEST IS THAT ? Then she had the nerves to ask if she could take my light bill to show other prospective customers my rates . I Refused of course .She ended up sneaking off with some of my information on a paper she was writing on. BEWARE who come knocking on your door because if they are the best in the business they don't have to come knocking on your door and stoop to those types of low down tactics.

I was fooled
A door to door salesman came to my door. I have had Just Energy for years. The man from Entrust asked to see my bill and told me I was paying way to much, that not only can they save me money on the monthly rates, but that I won't have to pay the $5 monthly service charge that Just Energy was charging. I said great. If it saves me money, no problem. Until I signed up with Entrust, I had never had a $300 light bill at this house. Now, every month it is $345 and up. Also, I am enrolled in a 3 year contract. I am pissed. I am fixing to move and I can guarantee that Entrust is not moving with me.

BEWARE OF LYING REPS!! (long but must read!)
The worse company I ever dealt with!!! I was stopped in my driveway while getting into my car to get dinner for my family. The reps, one named Raee, told me that they were checking meters to see if I was being overcharged for my service. Raee told me that they could lower my electric bill dramatically from what I was currently paying. Sounds good, right? Well I told them to I was with my current provider for another 3 months and I didn't want to pay the cancellation fee when I only have 3 months left.. She then told me that Entrust would pay for the cancellation fee from Reliant all I had to do was text her the bill showing the charge and they would take care of it. All these promises sounded too good to be true but I said let's do it! Who doesn't want to save money. After 2 attempts with the enrollment process since they were coaching me with nodding their heads for me to answer and when I hesitated to answer they would hang up the call and told me I can't hesitate to answer. I confirmed with them again that I don't want to pay a cancellation from Reliant which the person on the phone stated that they will not pay for any cancellation fees. Raee assured me that they meant that they won't pay for the cancellation fee if I cancelled with Entrust. So we went through the call again while they coached me with nodding their heads yes and no. At this point I have 3 hungry kids getting antsy to leave to get something to eat. I hurried up and got off the phone and confirmed with Raee once more that I just text her the bill from Reliant once they send me the cancellation bill she said yes. Fast forward to a week ago. My husband opens the Entrust bill and it was $90!!! for service between September 12- September 29! Then he received a call from Reliant that he still owes the cancellation fee and if it's not paid that we would be sent to collections. So I called Raee and asked if she received my text of the cancellation bill she seemed really sketchy on the phone and told me to call customer service because she was not working. Well I call customer service and after being on the phone for over an hour being passed from one person to another and being told that they don't cover cancellation fees and they were sorry they the rep told me that I told them I wanted the cancellation to be paid for or they needed to waive their cancellation fee for when I cancel because their reps coached me through the whole process. I was put on hold and they listened to my calls listened to and told that they didn't hear me being coached that they can't waive the $300 cancellation for me to go back to Reliant since they refused to honour what their rep promised and basically told me oh well and that they would submit a complaint that would take 21 days. Um no I was not going to deal with a shady scamming company for another 21 days. I called Reliant and they not only waived their cancellation fee for me to come back but they lowered my rate and will credit my account $300 to pay Entrusts cancellation fee.
Entrust sends their employees door to door so their lies are not recorded and train their employees to coach their customers through the enrollment calls and feed you lies . Beware of these shady reps and company!!!

Customer service
Called in at customer service and "Mario" was horrible. I was explaining to him my situation, and instead of listening and trying to understand he completely cut me off and stated that "we don't do payment options" "You haven't called since march" .Like seriously? Let me finish and you might understand me better. His ID number for entrust, from which he stated, is 2651. I'm extremely upset on his customer service experience because as you can tell he has none. Customer service should be a go to person your customers should be able to go to. How in the world are we suppose to ask questions and or concerns when "customer service" doesn't seem to be interested?

Liars and scammers
An Entrust Energy employee came to my door on 8/11/17. He told me that Oncore Electric had contracted Entrust to go to all of the customers Oncore lines provided electricity to. The reason- all customers were supposed to get a discount and Entrust was to go door to door to check and make sure that each customer did actually receive that discount. It sounded strange, but, ok. I am a very sceptical person and asked many questions to make sure that his story never changed. He needed to see a copy of my electricity bill, to make sure that I had received this discount. He could not tell from my bill, so he told me that he needed to make a call in to the system or something. This would allow him to find out if I had received this discount or not. Ok.So he made a call. I wasn't listening too closely to what he was saying. This was cutting into my dinner time and my kids were getting a little rambunctious.Then the Entrust employee told me that someone from his company was going to call me immediately to verify my information. My phone rang and I answered. This was a man from Entrust Energy, explaining to me that any cost incurred to me from changing electric companies would not be the responsibility of Entrust. "What?!? I don't want to change my electric company!" was my reply. Then the man on the phone asked me if the man on my porch had not told me that this was a sales call to get me to change electric companies. I said, "No! I asked him several times of that was what this was and he said NO every time."The man on my porch then reached up and touched the end call button on my phone. I was LIVID! I told the man to get off of my property. That he was a LIAR and a SCAMMER!

More expensive! OMG Hidden fees also
I recently signed up with Entrust Energy with someone that came at my door and offered the services. However he never mentioned the TDU delivery charge would be very expensive. I had a maybe 5.00 fee with my other company and its 67.69 with Entrust! Oh how I regret signing up with them so much. I don't know what I am going to do now, I have a 3 year contract.

Monster Calling Itself a Business
They came door to door and told some pretty fabulous lies to convince me to switch. The fact that it all seemed too good to be true should have alarmed me. I always say you get what you pay for, and the information I received should have warned my brain that this had to be a ;lie. The price rate was a few pennies more, but I was told that enTrust would pay for my cost to switch from my contract which was a lie. Then they said that I was not told that based on their verification process. leaving me owing my previous company ab early release fee. am about to pay my second bill with them. From the very beginning I was told my due date will be the fifteenth . a day or two before the first die date, I received a letter threatening disconnect. The bill was paid as planned and was on time. The second payment fur on 15th . Operator had no phone number that worked for enTrust. Ended up having to find a bill to call them because couldn't contact online without an account number. When I did reach them, I just paid it on the phone. Boaw it's time to pay bill #3 . The representative, Jessica, called to inform me that the due date is the 14th and that the due date changes from month to month based on the number of days in the month. So they had sent me two disconnect notices ( the first two not having a reminder; the third having this callasa reminder plus notice) and the third one oas sent on the 17th, and they were charging me $15 for sending it. I never did get my contract for my account and am trying to reach the Texas Utility Commission concerning these practices in relation to the state cde of ethics. Anybody wanna join me?

Buyer Beware!
Entrust will promise you the lowest kWh in the area, but they don't tell you they charge 3 times the service fee per kWh(Compared to Ambit Energy.)I just paid $50 more this month, compared to last year's same month. And I used nearly 200kHm More last year!3 Year Contract with the "Lowest kWh Guaranteed" my A**!Long and the Short of it...DON'T TRUST Entrust!

If these people show up at your door, call the police. They will steal from you. I canceled the bogus scam 'contract' within 30 minutes of the rep leaving. He had spoken to my husband without my knowledge. Thirty minutes after he left, I called Entrust and canceled. They assured me they had deleted our information. Two days later, our current electricity provider called us and asked us why we were switching. They called again, two days after that. So Entrust Energy apparently called our provider (TXU) to attempt to switch our service without our knowledge and consent. It didn't end there. A week later, we received Entrust Energy's astonishingly bogus 'welcome package.' On the letter, they back-dated the 'start of service date' to a date that was a week BEFORE we ever met the rep. That's fraud, and it's a felony: theft by fraud. If we ever see these people again, we will call the cops. Now I am wondering what the rep got a look at while he was in our home. They are such brazen thieves that residential burglary is more likely than not one of their business methods. If you are an Entrust Energy rep reading this, do not reply to this complaint, and do not attempt to contact us in any way, shape or form. NO CONTACT. Got it?
Bad hombres
A rep from interest energy came to my door And wanted to know if if I was being charged a fee for delivery of my electricity I told him I was paying $87.28 a month for it and he said if I signed up with his company that I would only be charged $5.30 a month with a cheaper wattage rate although the wattage rate was true everyone has to pay the delivery charge no one can devalue that you're always going to get that so this whole spiel was BS they cannot make that charge go away or charger a cheaper rate for that. It was a ploy to get me to sign up for it after checking the reviews I saw how bad this company was that immediately called them and canceled my contract also this contract is for three years $300 penalty if you cancel before that time

No customer service at all!
Switched gas suppliers in July of 2016. 12/1/2016 - Entrust sends me a "Notice of Contract Termination" threatening to "terminate" my non-existent contract with them if I don't pay the $25 bill they NEVER sent me (I had autopay set up for their bills). I call Entrust, spend 20 minutes trying to explain the situation to the "CS Rep". He says he will transfer me to "Collections"(?!) and I sit on hold for 10 more minutes before the line goes dead. If this IS in fact a valid charge, why did it not autopay like all my prior bills, and why did Entrust not send me any notification until months after it was supposedly due?

I signed up for Entrust energy and liked everything about them until they went out of business.
Billing
During winter storms I did expect the electric bill to increase some. My mothers electric bill was drastically increased. Her bill was for 233.38. She received the bill and it was paid on the 7th. Then on the 8th she received another bill stating her electric bill was 391.00. I want to know why.
Provider switch
I have contacted Entrust by phone and email to determine why my account is inactive. I received a final bill that included a early termination fee however I never requested my service switched to another provider. I have no idea who this new provider is and I am not getting any answers.

This company cut my 85 year old Mother's power off because there billing department double billed for an invoice and the bank froze their payment. Now they won't except a payment but wanted her to go to HEB to pay the bill then send them proof and then they will cut it back on. Charging her over 13 cents a kilowatt and thats a discount rate so they told her and they locked her into a contract which she has been paying for a year. Horrible Horrible experience with both of the employees I spoke to. Disgusting

I hate choosing electric companies
When I moved to S TX I had to decide on an electric company. I've used TXU for years, decades, actually. I chose Entrust, and have been pleased with my rates, but who knows? I'm in half the space, for about $10 less, so...??? I like that I get a weekly report of my usage.

Switched my service without notification
My service was transferred to another company (discount power) without my consent or notification. I was notified with a disconnection notice from discount power in the mail because my auto-payment information does not transfer. I would not recommend this company. The least they could do is to notify the consumer of the switch so they are aware. I was very happy with this company until this point.

I have been very satisfied with our service from ENTRUST ENERGY. I have recommended them to friends and neighbors when discussing energy bills, especially in the summer months. My bills have been reasonable and affordable. Now that my service is up for renewal I was concerned that my rate would increase considerably. When I called to discuss renewal I spoke with HENRY. He was polite, in a genuine way. He was patient and took the time to explain things. He listened to my concerns, he repeated himself when I needed him to without rushing. Henry found a plan for me that is actually a little less than what I have been paying. I didn't expect that. I will continue to recommend ENTRUST ENERGY to my neighbors and friends. Utility bill spiked up when no one's home
I live in an apartment and my utility is usually low because I'm always at work. However, there were months when I was on a business trip out of state (for full months) and I was not home at all, but my utility bill was MORE THAN DOUBLE than usual for that month that I was gone and the month after that. I made sure all the appliances were off and unplugged, I even have pictures to make sure before I've left for my trip. I called the service representatives. They say will see what they can do. Bottom line, months after, they have not done anything. I have not heard from them at all. I ended up paying everything with no further explanation to my concern that I brought up with them.

Worse Company Ever
This company is Trouble.. We signed the contract for my business. First month got a whole different bill than the sample bill copy I had. I discussed that with the company and they said sorry for giving you the wrong bill. This is where I made a mistake that even knowing this bill is not matching the sample bill, I stayed with the company as the difference was very minimum. Now after 9 months, my bill has doubled. The same amount of KW used and the price is much higher. There is something called Ancillary charges that show up on my bill with different price every month. and the explanation is that is a charge that is forwarded to them and they forward it to me. Also TDU charges have double which I have already called Center Point about and they are checking that as I officially filled the complained so should know soon about why the TDU charges have double since than. This company is sucking our blood and no way to fight it as a contract is signed and I am stucked with it. Lesson learned to never buy from a rep. my bill is doubled and I pray everyday that they will get what they are screwing people out of.
Entrust gauging customers
I normally paid about 1000 per month and entrust sent me a bill for 3799. They have done that to countless people in Houston. When I asked about the reason, they said electrical prices went up and they didnt expect this.
Entrust Sucks!
Had the nice gentleman come by house and solicit this #1 Entrust Energy that is better than TXU. i switched. and for the last three months, my bill has gone up and up and up. this month, it's almost 400 bucks at .12 cents a kilo. although the bill says .08 cents but the TDU deliver charge is over a hundred freaking dollars which averages out to .12 cents! PLUS, they never paid my early disconnection fee like they said they would. so that has been sent to collections by TXU. I've emailed customer service three times with no response. yeah, i'm starting to wonder if this company is really legit. Oh, i i was also told that we would get a refund for overpaying with TXU. that never has happened either. I've never paid this much with TXU.....ever! not a happy customer and their customer service sucks!
Contract amount
I have had service for 2 years of my 3 year contract and received a bill with over a thousand dollars in excess charges for each of my service addresses. Apparently the contracted amount is not what they want to go by anymore. Spoke to customer service telling me that they can charge whatever they want at any time. 2,000 over the regular bill for one month is ridiculous. They claimed they sent me a notice and to this day no notice has been received by us. Obviously, contracted prices are not binding to them. Never in 30 years of business have we received a bill this ridiculous with no change of usage. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Contracts mean nothing.

I have had only positive experiences with Entrust Energy. Their prices are low; they give charts for each day showing the amount of electricity used; they compare your most recent usage to your past weeks usage; they are prompt with billing & remind you if your bill hasnt been received within a few days of the due date. They are an excellent company.

Once I got my first bill, and it was not what was described to me, I couldn't wait for it to expire. Now six months from the contract termination, They terminate the contract and hit me with a $300 termination fee. I was enrolled in "Auto-Pay", so I never opened the bills, which would always say "Do Not Pay". Somehow I was "un-enrolled" from Auto-Pay, and while on vacation they disconnected me and terminated. Never again

Entrust Energy has provided me with the best customer experience ever. There was a slight issue with the start date my services however it was rectified swiftly. Not only did Entrust energy provide me with amazing rates and discounts but their service was exemplary. They know how to treat Veterans and mire importantly they know how to treat people.

Excellent Rate, Need an App
I enjoyed Entrust's service. My rate was excellent and my bills were always low and/or manageable. The website worked well and made making payments easy. I could never load bills from the website on my phone, unfortunately. The only request is that Entrust have an app developed to make payments and electricity tracking easier. I liked receiving the emails of energy usage so I had an idea of what my bill would be. I wouldn't mind working with Entrust again.
Overcharges
Since February when they overcharged me on charges per kwh from contract of .076 to .1270, I have had constantly received balance forward charges on following bills. I've overpaid them at least $42 and expect another overcharge next month per their record. I'm reporting them to PUC and BBB.
8 KWs when Power Was Out
I read the Smart Meter disclaimer which gives Entrust an out on my weekly power usage. However, I must speak out that on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, I and most in Zip code 75218 had no power due to the devastating June 9, 2019 storm.

It was easy to get our new service, and since this was a new construction site with temporary power, that could have been a problem, but everything went through without a hitch. We have a great rate, it was easy to set up auto pay, and we get a weekly report with a graph showing the most recent week's usage against the week prior. Good information.

Straight forward plans
Entrust plans were easy to understand and straight forward. So much better than other plans charging more if you you end up using too much or not enough electricity to get the "discount" rate! I didn't have actual conversation with customer service. I received late payment texts even a day after getting confirmation of payment texts? The billing was always accurate and I was never charged a late fee, but I gave 4 stars for the billing acct managment for that reason.

26 days to turn a meter on ughhhh
The phone guys are ok, but the 45 min experience 3 days a week to get a follow thru to have a broker call was exhausting and frustrating. I really believe the information he collected from me daily went into the abyss. 26 days, never a call back to see if I was actually helped. Typical millennial customer service... so I ask the canned questions, but incapable of logic trail troubleshooting. OSCAR was terrific and got it accomplished, he called me back and got the broker to call.

Delay at services
I paid deposit at 02/28/18 and it was supposed to switched me to the company after 24 hours.But , they forgot . Now Im gonna move to my new apartment from Dallas to Mackinney, I sent them an email and called them several times and explain my situation.But who cares. They just wanna charge me for early termination. I really dont know how to explain for them that it is your problem not mine ,that u connected us to Entrust Energy on 03/19/18 instead of 02/28/18 . If they look at my deposit payment date , its on 02/28/18

Entrust False Claims
In March 2018 an Entrust Energy sales person convinced me that Reliant Energy was over charging me for electricity because I was entitled to a 65+ plan for senior citizens. The sales person computed that I would receive a refund check for about $1000 in about six months and my electric bill would decrease.In January 2019 I compared Entrust and Reliant bills and found that Entrust was charging me more than Reliant had been charging and I had not received a refund check as promised. In phoned Entrust and was told that they had no relationship with Reliant and could not make a refund.I told them that if they could not lower their rate that I would transfer to Reliant. They told me that I would be charged $300 if I left the contract early and I told them that Entrust had broken the contract. On January 13, 2019 I E-mailed them a copy of their sales person's calculations and a copy of my last Reliant statement for their review. A few days later I phoned Entrust to learn the status of their looking into my situation and was put on hold. After one hour and 15 of being on hold, I hung up my phone. On January 16 I phoned Entrust and they said that they were reviewing my situation and would have an answer very soon and said they would call back later. I told them that I would not be available later and we agreed that they would phone me at 8:00 am on the 17th. With no call fron Entrust by 8:30 am, I called they and told them that I was switching electricity providers. Then I switched to Reliant.On the plus side for Entrust, all their phone people were polite and all said how sorry they were.

Worst Electric Company Ever
To begin with, the young man that came to my door peddling this garbage company lied to me, a lot. I was offered a plan that did not actually exist at all and the rate I was told was not the rate thatI ended up with once billing began. I was offered a promotional deal where I was allegedly going to receive a $100 bill credit 3 times periodically for being a customer. Never happened AND I was later told by a customer service rep that there is no promotional deal like that with Entrust. In addition to all of this, the customer service is terrible, at best. Very rude representatives, unwilling to assist 99% of the time if you need any kind of extension or other help with your account. As soon as I have the money back from my taxes, I am paying the breach of contract fee and getting TF out of this contract with this terrible company. Oh and did I mention that my bill is literally TWICE as high with Entrust than it was with my previous provider?! Yep, twice. Do yourself a huge favor if you are reading this review and contemplating using Entrust Energy - RUN as fast as you can away from them.

The sign up for service was fairly easy through the web site. Paying the first bill online wasn't so easy. Although I tried, for some reason it didn't happen and I ended up paying a little more for the late fee. I tried to set up the account for automatic payment. I'll have to go through the next billing cycle to see if it works.

The company set up an on line account in my name for service at a bogus address... so far they've called me asking for $900.00 covering a few months of power deliver to a non existent address . have reported the issue twice to no avail.

Very disappointed
I switched to Entrust because on paper it seemed to be a good price. I use very little energy really and my bill keeps increasing. Now I was charged a $20.00 Excessive DNP Notice Charge which I have no idea what this charge means. I picked this company because they said it would be a simplified bill without 10 different charges. That is not the case, new charges are added with no explanation. My bill is excessive for my actual energy use. When I call I get no answers.

Unethical practices
moved out of state due to my mother-in-law passing away and leaving the house to my husband. I was told once I provided change of address, the $300 early termination fee would be waived. I provided the info via email. A rep called, took my final payment, told me the fee was waived, said I had a ZERO balance and the account is closed. She even expressed condolences on my loss. Now I get a call from another rep saying the they cant process the change of address information with the official confirmation number provided by the USPS and to send them the DEED to the house to POSSIBLY see if the fee would be waived. The deed isn't even in my name and per the conversation on a recorded line, I have a zero balance. So they make up a story to discredit the USPS and try to take advantage of a grieving family who just uprooted to another state. What a way to treat a long time customer who has never been late. I did everything I was contractually obligated to do. They do not value their customers and I will be contacting the Public Utilities Commission regarding this unethical practice.

Terrible experience
I had Entrust Energy for 2 months. The second month my power was cut off. Called the company and they said they didn't receive my payment which had been mailed by the bank 10 days earlier, so I paid online with a credit card. Went to the bank the next day and got a stop payment on the check. A week or so later they apparently found the original check and for some reason tried to apply it to my account and then charged me $30 for the check not being good. I called the company and explained that I didn't even owe them any money and it seems it was them that misplaced the check in the first place. After talking to several people they refused to take the $30 charge off my account. I felt I had no choice but to cancel my account which, of course, caused them to charge me a $300 early termination fee and they also turned me in to the credit bureau which dropped my credit score significantly. Think twice about dealing with these people!

Worst Company in Texas
Overcharging. A lady in the town next over to my family (we just cancelled our service with them finally!) told us today her mother passed away rather suddenly. She had Entrust, now they're going after her poor grieving daughter to pay a "termination fee"? Money hungry CROOKS.

One of the worst utility companies I have dealt with
One of the worst experiences I have had with a utilities company. There was a transfer of ownership in a business I was buying that wasn't completed for 1 month after the original documents were submitted. I ended up losing power and having to close my business and turn away customers for 1 full day as a result. Come to find out there was a missing form that was needed that the previous owner and myself did not submit. This form was not requested by Entrust initially. When they saw they needed it they called me but did not leave a voicemail, did not email me, did not send me a letter etc. With the nature of telemarketers today many people do not answer unknown numbers. Apparently Entrust doesn't understand this and decided that since they "tried" calling that it was my fault the change was not processed. I will be terminating my service with them immediately as I cannot risk this type of negligence in the future with my business.

Great rates, even better customer service.
I always shop around for electricity rates when my contract is due. This time i did the same but i decided to renew with Entrust. They kept me on the same plan even though the prices had moved up. My rate is 0.6 cents per kw cheaper than the lower rate i found during my research. (from 16 different companies.)

This sales person whom I reluctantly opened the door and let into my home is giving me trust issues with anyone who comes knocking on my door in the future. If they don't have my phone number they won't get in. She went through the steps about how I can save and pay the same amount each month She put me on the phone to sign up with a customer service guy. He ran a credit check that required me to make a deposit. Before I could complete the phone call the woman reached over and hung up the phone without my consent. When I told her I don't have that deposit amount she tried to talk me into putting my deceased husband's name on the account. I thought she was crazy or trained well. I told her I would never stoop to that lever and goes against everything I believe In... She didn't stop there she tried to get me to ask my son to get on the account and when the company calls and ask if he's the spouse, he is to say yes. I knew then I had a problem with this company. It wouldn't have went well if she had said that to my son . HOW DISHONEST IS THAT ? Then she had the nerves to ask if she could take my light bill to show other prospective customers my rates . I Refused of course .She ended up sneaking off with some of my information on a paper she was writing on. BEWARE who come knocking on your door because if they are the best in the business they don't have to come knocking on your door and stoop to those types of low down tactics.

Awesome Company
I was with another company 2 years ago... when my contract expired they did not notify me and being the busy business owner I am I FORGOT! I got a bill that month three times the amount it usually ran. I signed up with Entrust last year and received not only a call but a letter 90 days before my contract expired to renew me at an even lower rate than I originally signed up for! The customer service is awesome and my bill is now super easy to understand. I also have my home with Entrust Energy. I highly recommend Entrust Energy, in fact I do and receive credit for any referrals I send their way.

I was fooled
A door to door salesman came to my door. I have had Just Energy for years. The man from Entrust asked to see my bill and told me I was paying way to much, that not only can they save me money on the monthly rates, but that I won't have to pay the $5 monthly service charge that Just Energy was charging. I said great. If it saves me money, no problem. Until I signed up with Entrust, I had never had a $300 light bill at this house. Now, every month it is $345 and up. Also, I am enrolled in a 3 year contract. I am pissed. I am fixing to move and I can guarantee that Entrust is not moving with me.

BEWARE OF LYING REPS!! (long but must read!)
The worse company I ever dealt with!!! I was stopped in my driveway while getting into my car to get dinner for my family. The reps, one named Raee, told me that they were checking meters to see if I was being overcharged for my service. Raee told me that they could lower my electric bill dramatically from what I was currently paying. Sounds good, right? Well I told them to I was with my current provider for another 3 months and I didn't want to pay the cancellation fee when I only have 3 months left.. She then told me that Entrust would pay for the cancellation fee from Reliant all I had to do was text her the bill showing the charge and they would take care of it. All these promises sounded too good to be true but I said let's do it! Who doesn't want to save money. After 2 attempts with the enrollment process since they were coaching me with nodding their heads for me to answer and when I hesitated to answer they would hang up the call and told me I can't hesitate to answer. I confirmed with them again that I don't want to pay a cancellation from Reliant which the person on the phone stated that they will not pay for any cancellation fees. Raee assured me that they meant that they won't pay for the cancellation fee if I cancelled with Entrust. So we went through the call again while they coached me with nodding their heads yes and no. At this point I have 3 hungry kids getting antsy to leave to get something to eat. I hurried up and got off the phone and confirmed with Raee once more that I just text her the bill from Reliant once they send me the cancellation bill she said yes. Fast forward to a week ago. My husband opens the Entrust bill and it was $90!!! for service between September 12- September 29! Then he received a call from Reliant that he still owes the cancellation fee and if it's not paid that we would be sent to collections. So I called Raee and asked if she received my text of the cancellation bill she seemed really sketchy on the phone and told me to call customer service because she was not working. Well I call customer service and after being on the phone for over an hour being passed from one person to another and being told that they don't cover cancellation fees and they were sorry they the rep told me that I told them I wanted the cancellation to be paid for or they needed to waive their cancellation fee for when I cancel because their reps coached me through the whole process. I was put on hold and they listened to my calls listened to and told that they didn't hear me being coached that they can't waive the $300 cancellation for me to go back to Reliant since they refused to honour what their rep promised and basically told me oh well and that they would submit a complaint that would take 21 days. Um no I was not going to deal with a shady scamming company for another 21 days. I called Reliant and they not only waived their cancellation fee for me to come back but they lowered my rate and will credit my account $300 to pay Entrusts cancellation fee.
Entrust sends their employees door to door so their lies are not recorded and train their employees to coach their customers through the enrollment calls and feed you lies . Beware of these shady reps and company!!!

Bend over... here it comes
My utility bill was almost as much as a house payment. I call because I had a charge from TDU of $284 plus electricity charge if $418..... I called and they said it is the charge for maintenance of the poles, so I called that company (TNMPower). They said it is always a charge the bill companies. Called in at customer service and "Mario" was horrible. I was explaining to him my situation, and instead of listening and trying to understand he completely cut me off and stated that "we don't do payment options" "You haven't called since march" .Like seriously? Let me finish and you might understand me better. His ID number for entrust, from which he stated, is 2651. I'm extremely upset on his customer service experience because as you can tell he has none. Customer service should be a go to person your customers should be able to go to. How in the world are we suppose to ask questions and or concerns when "customer service" doesn't seem to be interested?

Liars and scammers
An Entrust Energy employee came to my door on 8/11/17. He told me that Oncore Electric had contracted Entrust to go to all of the customers Oncore lines provided electricity to. The reason- all customers were supposed to get a discount and Entrust was to go door to door to check and make sure that each customer did actually receive that discount. It sounded strange, but, ok. I am a very sceptical person and asked many questions to make sure that his story never changed. He needed to see a copy of my electricity bill, to make sure that I had received this discount. He could not tell from my bill, so he told me that he needed to make a call in to the system or something. This would allow him to find out if I had received this discount or not. Ok.So he made a call. I wasn't listening too closely to what he was saying. This was cutting into my dinner time and my kids were getting a little rambunctious.Then the Entrust employee told me that someone from his company was going to call me immediately to verify my information. My phone rang and I answered. This was a man from Entrust Energy, explaining to me that any cost incurred to me from changing electric companies would not be the responsibility of Entrust. "What?!? I don't want to change my electric company!" was my reply. Then the man on the phone asked me if the man on my porch had not told me that this was a sales call to get me to change electric companies. I said, "No! I asked him several times of that was what this was and he said NO every time."The man on my porch then reached up and touched the end call button on my phone. I was LIVID! I told the man to get off of my property. That he was a LIAR and a SCAMMER!

I recently signed up with Entrust Energy with someone that came at my door and offered the services. However he never mentioned the TDU delivery charge would be very expensive. I had a maybe 5.00 fee with my other company and its 67.69 with Entrust! Oh how I regret signing up with them so much. I don't know what I am going to do now, I have a 3 year contract.

Monster Calling Itself a Business
They came door to door and told some pretty fabulous lies to convince me to switch. The fact that it all seemed too good to be true should have alarmed me. I always say you get what you pay for, and the information I received should have warned my brain that this had to be a ;lie. The price rate was a few pennies more, but I was told that enTrust would pay for my cost to switch from my contract which was a lie. Then they said that I was not told that based on their verification process. leaving me owing my previous company ab early release fee. am about to pay my second bill with them. From the very beginning I was told my due date will be the fifteenth . a day or two before the first die date, I received a letter threatening disconnect. The bill was paid as planned and was on time. The second payment fur on 15th . Operator had no phone number that worked for enTrust. Ended up having to find a bill to call them because couldn't contact online without an account number. When I did reach them, I just paid it on the phone. Boaw it's time to pay bill #3 . The representative, Jessica, called to inform me that the due date is the 14th and that the due date changes from month to month based on the number of days in the month. So they had sent me two disconnect notices ( the first two not having a reminder; the third having this callasa reminder plus notice) and the third one oas sent on the 17th, and they were charging me $15 for sending it. I never did get my contract for my account and am trying to reach the Texas Utility Commission concerning these practices in relation to the state cde of ethics. Anybody wanna join me?

Buyer Beware!
Entrust will promise you the lowest kWh in the area, but they don't tell you they charge 3 times the service fee per kWh(Compared to Ambit Energy.)I just paid $50 more this month, compared to last year's same month. And I used nearly 200kHm More last year!3 Year Contract with the "Lowest kWh Guaranteed" my A**!Long and the Short of it...DON'T TRUST Entrust!

Entrust Energy is a terrible company !!!!They've disconnected my electricity twice in one month now! I mean how do you get disconnected twice in one month! If these people show up at your door, call the police. They will steal from you. I canceled the bogus scam 'contract' within 30 minutes of the rep leaving. He had spoken to my husband without my knowledge. Thirty minutes after he left, I called Entrust and canceled. They assured me they had deleted our information. Two days later, our current electricity provider called us and asked us why we were switching. They called again, two days after that. So Entrust Energy apparently called our provider (TXU) to attempt to switch our service without our knowledge and consent. It didn't end there. A week later, we received Entrust Energy's astonishingly bogus 'welcome package.' On the letter, they back-dated the 'start of service date' to a date that was a week BEFORE we ever met the rep. That's fraud, and it's a felony: theft by fraud. If we ever see these people again, we will call the cops. Now I am wondering what the rep got a look at while he was in our home. They are such brazen thieves that residential burglary is more likely than not one of their business methods. If you are an Entrust Energy rep reading this, do not reply to this complaint, and do not attempt to contact us in any way, shape or form. NO CONTACT. Got it?

A rep from interest energy came to my door And wanted to know if if I was being charged a fee for delivery of my electricity I told him I was paying $87.28 a month for it and he said if I signed up with his company that I would only be charged $5.30 a month with a cheaper wattage rate although the wattage rate was true everyone has to pay the delivery charge no one can devalue that you're always going to get that so this whole spiel was BS they cannot make that charge go away or charger a cheaper rate for that. It was a ploy to get me to sign up for it after checking the reviews I saw how bad this company was that immediately called them and canceled my contract also this contract is for three years $300 penalty if you cancel before that time

Having an issue trusting this Company
I had 2 young men knock on my door stating they worked with Oncor to make certain the customers were receiving the best price each month on their electric bills. They asked to see several months of prior electric bills, they then discussed Entrust, showed me one of their own (supposably) bills and they GUARANTEED me several of times that my bill each month would be $50.+ dollars less than I was paying each month with the Company I was using.They were at my house for over an hour, seemed very nice, knowledgeable and trust worthy. So, I changed companies and went with Entrust. I had to pay $300.00 cancellation fee to my prior Company. Agree to a $300.00 fee if I cancel this company within 3 years. Now, I have received 2.5 bills SO FAR. And the amount is WELL OVER what I have paid with the last company last year at these times. And the service fees each month have gone up, which these young men said the fee was VERY LOW TO NOTHING AND NEVER INCREASES. Their bill showed around $20 if I remember correctly.This entire Company is B.S. if my bill continues to get higher and higher. I will be coming up with the cancellation fee and again I will find a new Company.Beware!!These salesmen are liars and cons and based on my call today to Entrust, they aren't willing to help the customers out in any way.

No customer service at all!
Switched gas suppliers in July of 2016. 12/1/2016 - Entrust sends me a "Notice of Contract Termination" threatening to "terminate" my non-existent contract with them if I don't pay the $25 bill they NEVER sent me (I had autopay set up for their bills). I call Entrust, spend 20 minutes trying to explain the situation to the "CS Rep". He says he will transfer me to "Collections"(?!) and I sit on hold for 10 more minutes before the line goes dead. If this IS in fact a valid charge, why did it not autopay like all my prior bills, and why did Entrust not send me any notification until months after it was supposedly due?

My contract with reliant expired. I was in a month to month plan & I switch over to entrust. I had that so call "free weekends plan" bunch of bull ... they were charging me 12 cents on the days that weren't free ! Now I have a solid rate and haven't looked back :)

5 star!!
I previously had TXU. I was loyal customer for 13 years but little did I know my contract was over due & they were charging me 17 cents a kWh !!! I never complain just paid my bill every month until someone came to my door and educated me on the prizes. I was skeptical at first so I went with the one year plan to test it out & I haven't looked back. I've been a loyal customer now for 4 years. My bill has drop more than half ! I'm so thankful they came to door. I would recommend entrust to anyone that is paying high on electricity. :)

EnTrust sales reps are liar and con-artists!
The door-to-door sales reps are liars. Alexis knocked on my door yesterday babbling on and on, asking to see my electricity bill, so I stopped her and asked her who is she and who does she work for. Her response was that she works with Oncor and they have been sent out to make sure that all of Oncors customers are receiving fair prices from the electricity companies, making it seem like she wasn't selling anything but that Oncor was going to go after my electricity company if i was being over charged. So I showed her my bill, and of course she told me i was being over charged and explained what my rates should be....ok? So then the truth eventually came out, Alexis now wants me to switch my electricity to whatever company she has yet to name. She told me that if i transfer to Entrust or break my contract with TXU that I wouldn't be responsible for the early termination fee. What? She said I would be given 12 months and I can choose to pay the fee or not pay the fee nothing would happen, and if i do decide to pay the fee, with the money I would be saving it would pay for itself. I was also told that if I wanted to cancel my service after switching to Entrust I could do so within 3 business days without any consequences. Alexis also told me that if I wanted to cancel my service any other time that all I had to do is tell Entrust that I was moving to Austin and I could not transfer my service, so the company wouldn't be able to charge me the $300 termination fee. I was shown a paper with rates that were 11 while she was "reading" the paper to me (making up stuff, instead of letting me read it myself) and telling me not to pay attention to that, my rate would be 6.3 and promising other things contradictory to what was on their paper. I was sold lies on top of lies. I asked for a business card she told me she didn't have one, I asked her if there was a number I could call if I was interested in enrolling, she told me that's not how they worked. Okay something doesn't seem right here! Then Alexis showed me a paper about a security system, and there it was, the name of the company she actually worked for. I quickly googled their name and found lots of complaints and they were telling stories of exactly what i was experiencing. So I informed Alexis about the negative reviews I'm finding. Her response was well, of course your finding negative reviews, nobody ever reports the positive, sometimes certain plans work differently for some people.....blah blah blah. I'm not stupid! I always do my research, which is what I told her multiple times I needed to do before switching anything, which is also why i was asking for the companies contact information. I let her know that I would not be signing up for anything and if I was interested I would contact the company myself, because I see that I can do that online, even though you told me I couldn't. I will never do business with this company, NEVER!!! And because of this experience nobody will ever be able to come knocking at my door, I'm putting up a no soliciting sign and turning away everybody who chooses to ignore that sign immediately, without question. And to the replies under these comments saying that is not how they train their staff, that's a lie, somebody is training your staff on how to lie and bait customers, which is disgusting!!

They are all liars!
I had to put two of their reps off my property. They are real slick, well slimy is a better word. They fast talk and flatter you excessively. They treat you like your 5 years old when it comes to power delivery technology. THEN they wanted to see if you qualify for their "special program." DO NOT allow them to get a hold of your information and place a "mysterious" phone call. This not to verify your eligibility. This is to start the process of enrollment and switching you over. In other words they are SLAMMING you, on the sly, just like long distance phone companies would do back in the day. I have no idea what their actual rates are like. As far as I know they were lying about that too. Any company that would start a relationship the way they did I want nothing to do with. BEWARE!

First of all, the representative Zachary Malik came to my door saying that ENTRUST energy was taking over for ONCOR and that it was mandatory to make the switch. he said that I would still be going through MY energy company, and everything would be the same except where the DELIVERY and TDU charges came from. when I found out that it was a whole new energy company, I called and complained and explained the situation. They said they would listen to the confirmation call and that if there was evidence he had coached me through the call, that I wouldn't be responsible for the $300 cancelation fee. you know an electricity company is bull**** when they have to charge you $300 to get out. anyways, of course they listen to recordings and could find no evidence of coaching BECAUSE HE HAD ME PUT IT ON SPEAKERPHONE AND WAS NODDING YES AND NO TELLING ME WHAT TO SAY!!!! ON TOP OF THAT, MY MONTHLY ENERGY BILL WAS ANYWERE FROM $200 TO $300! A MONTH!!!!!!!! REDICULOSE. its okay though, I'm going to take that representative to small claims court, and I am going to copy and paste this review EVERYWHERE AND ANYWHERE I CAN. do NOT trust "ENTRUST" they will rob you blind!!!! it costed me a bit over $600 to get away from them with the cancelation fee and the final bill together.

Said one thing did another...
I liked the price but I advised the CS door-to-door rep that I would ONLY switch if I could keep my current due date from my previous provider. She assured me I could, NO PROBLEM, so I decided to sign up. I was asked to officially verify I was going to sign up with them over the phone by a different CS rep, to which I explained to her MULTIPLE times about my desire to keep my exact same due date as with my previous provider, to which she stated, of course NO PROBLEM, totally doable. Well needless to say my bill is due on not only a different date but also a date which makes it in line to be disconnected every month. They lied to my face and over the phone. Don't switch if you need to keep a specific date.

They send mail to dead people....and expect them to respond
My dad passed away May 10. I made payments May 31. I informed the person I talked to that my dad had passed away and it would take a couple of months to clear everything out. They said no problem. Account wouldn't have another bill until mid July. I wasn't informed that their policy is 14 days after they're informed of death, they turn electricity off. They said they sent my dad a letter June 2 informing him. He's deceased so he didn't get that letter. My phone number was the contact number. No calls from entrust. Not even missed calls. After explaining this to the person (obviously reading from script) there isn't anything I can do. They won't turn it back on. Now remember I owe them no money at all. It's paid thru mid July. They DID say I could open account with entrust energy and they would turn it on. I didn't do that. Found month to month place. DO NOT USE ENTRUST ENERGY.

Greetings, I live in the Houston, Texas area and I was approached by one of the Entrust sales representatives, claiming to be a manager. He repeatedly asked me to switch and called the customer service line to do the switch. However, when he talked to me directly he kept saying that I was not switching and that he was only calling to see if I'd get approved and to get a confirmation number. This was all after the high fees, delivery fees, fixed rate story. The first time, he gave the customer service rep my number and they called me to my cell phone. The representative on the phone asked if I had agreed to switching providers and I said no. The rep stated that if I wasn't ready to switch he could not continue and he terminated the call. Nonetheless, the rep next to me had asked me to place the call on speaker so that he could guide me and help me answer the questions. The whole time he was 'trying' to get me to answer 'yes' to all the questions, but I declined. I am a grown woman and I speak English; however, he insisted that I answer 'yes' and that he would explain everything at the end (after I was signed up). After trying to convince me again, he called a number on his personal phone and told me that he was calling his supervisor, listed on contact list as Nene. A female told me that the phone call to the rep was only to get approved and get a confirmation # and that I would have 3 federal business days to decide if I wanted to continue with Entrust. After we hung up with her, the rep called the line again and asked for me to answer the questions again. As soon as a female rep answered I told her that I did not want to change and that i still wanted to cancel my enrollment. The rep next to me kept insisting, almost harrassing and telling me that ge was trying to save me money and that I shouldn't be scared. He kept smoking while talking to me and was spitting on my lawn. After the second call was terminated, i told him that i had to go and that I would do my own research before I switched providers and that I would call myself if I chose to switch. He was not very pleased, but finally left me alone and left my property. I called the customer service line, myself, minutes after to verify that I had not been enrolled without my authorization (and I wasn't). If I am later charged or billed for God knows what I will call back because I did authorize do to any changes. The way they talk to people like if they're stupid is not very nice. After doing my research I am very glad that I did not fall into that guy's trap and if he ever comes back I will be calling the police. If this company is not a scam, then they should hire employees that are more professional or train them correctly instead of them misleading people and harassing them with lies so that they can make the switch and then get stuck with a higher energy bill. I consider myself one of the lucky ones.

Same story as everyone else. Was told that they weren't selling anything, and were not trying to switch utility companies. When I figured out what was going on (off of this sight oddly enough), I tried to call up their customer service dept. and tell them I was not interested. No answer. I called my utility company and explained the situation to them, and that I had no desire to switch companies. The next day I tried again to contact Entrust and got a hold of someone, informing them that I had no interest in their company. The rep was polite and assured me that I would not be switched. They switched me anyway and now I'm in the middle of a fight and $600 in fees. The next Entrust employee that sets foot on my property leaves in the back seat of a patrol car for trespassing.

Don't Do It
I received a pay or you will get disconnected notice just before I went out of town. I PAID the minimum they told me to keep the lights on. I left and come back 10 days later and the power had been SHUT OFF for days. They acknowledged receiving my payment but CLAIMED during that 10 days I was gone they shut off my service due to non-payment of the next month's bill!
Recently they sent me a notice stating they were unilaterally changing the contract to benefit them. I think they are now charging $30 to send out a late notice?!!?! The letter stated I had 10 days to change providers without penalty.
I didn't receive the letter until the last day to change and didn't get a chance to run. They printed the letter and didn't mail it for a week.
They are in the BS charges business. Pure scum.

There are entirely too many things wrong with this company for me to type. I am not giving a rating because I cannot even give them 1 lightbulb. In all of my years I have never had a worse experience with a company. STAY FAR AWAY! They do not hold themselves accountable for ANYTHING. When their customer service makes mistakes you have to pay for it AND they do not have managers to speak with only supervisors that don't know anything and only work from 8-6 Mon-Fri. I advice anybody never to use this company. I broke my golden rule and had someone who came knocking on my door (that should have been red flag) to get me to change. After first 12 months they greatly increased my rate from 8cents KWH to over 11cents KWH when I did not renew contract. After almost 3 years I terminated to TXU (much cheaper now) and now they have sent $200 termination fee to collection agency. The person that sold me policy told me the termination fee would be only for first 12 months, but that if false statement. They repeatedly over and over called me to renew after telling them NO because I might switch. I think they repeatedly called me to try to lock in termination fee. When Entrust person comes knocking on your door - then do yourself a favor - DONT OPEN THE DOOR.

Customer Service
Initially, I appreciated the service from Entrust Energy. The savings proved significant; however,
I am very disappointed with their customer service. I requested months back that my bill be moved to the 21st of the month. It was never explained that my monthly billing dates would change. I have been trying to split my bill based on my pay dates and could not figure out why I kept recieving pink notices. I take responsibility for not checking sooner into the problem.
Since I cannot seem to arrange my billing according to my financial needs, my family will be leaving entrust. I have always been a major part of customer service within my organization. I have noticed over the years that the customer is no longer right and the corporations do not care about our needs.

Liars- Dnt believe anything they say
This company lies and then refuse to believe I was lied too. I switched and this was the biggest mistake ever. This company needs to be shut down. Broker lied about contract. Customer service nonexistent.
I told broker we were moving. He said there is no problem. Then they hit us with a fee when we moved. Also the customer service department is using the upgrade to chip cards used for automatic payments to generate late fees because the expiration date changes. They have a policy to make 10 dollars off you when they notify you the month after a missed payment with a cutoff notice. This despite them having all the info they need to send a courtesy notice. The fee is nonrefundable because the peons on the phone have no authority to actually empathize. I always leave a company with such policies and they usually end up in bankruptcy.

Yes I was one of the idiots that switched to this electric company. The guy promised me that my bill would be way less than my previous electric company. My bill for the last two months have been almost $300 ai piece! How? Of course I was told the things I have plugged it and my air being on all the time. So I went through the house unplugged almost everything! Only two people live here. We were gone for two weeks and yet my electric bill is still $250! How? Why is the delivery charge almost $100? I hate that I signed up for a 2 year contract, it might be easier just to pay the fee to disconnect service! I will be filing a complaint with BBB and the public utility commission. I would never recommend this company to anyone....just say no!!!!!

I had been a customer with Entrust for 11 months. On 4 different months I asked for my bill to become due on the 20th of each month because of how I get paid. They said no, I dont remember the exact details as to why my bill could not become due on the 20th.
My bill was past due 9 days and when they called me I told them I had sent a check thru my on line banking with Chase. I told them that the money was already out of my account and the money will be there the next day or the following day, but the check is in the mail because they were threating to cut off my electricity. I called Chase bank and told them my issue with Entrust and the customer service rep told me to go online and go to my on line bank and print out proof of payment. I did that and I emailed it to them. That document had the dollar amount of the payment, the address and company that the check was sent to, I had paid them every month for the past 10 months, I had spoke to them on the phone, everything I could do and they turned my power off.
I am 57 years old and I have been in my house for 8 years and always paid my bill but Entrust would not work with me, after your bill is past due for a certain amount of time they will zap you.
In my opinion I would say Dont Trust Entrust, go to another company

Bad service
My stepdad has cancer and we have service with this company well today they turn our electric off and we called them and told them that they can't turn the electricity off because we sent a critical care paper in to them and they put us on hold and then the customer service came back on and said that they don't have the paper stating he is in critical care and that we still have to pay $208.00 dollars to get our service back. When they are the ones who keep losing the paper that the state fax to them. I wouldn't recommend this electric company at all

Bad customer service. I have 4 accounts with Entrust because I was cheated and lied by a broker about the rates. After I got my first 2 bills on my business account, I realize it was way higher than I was paying before. I reach out to the broker, but no response. Later, I found out that he left the company. I reach out to Entrust saying that please DO NOT TOUCH my other businesses and DO NOT SWITCH with you, but they keep arguing that I sing the contract and I Have to pay the Early Termination fees. They DO NOT want to listen my side of the story that I got cheated. Instead they are insisting that I sing the contract and that is it. I am honest business man in Houston with Integrity and values. I don't recommend any one who owns a house or business to go with ENTRUST.

I start by saying that Entrust has really bad customer service. They only listen, but no act and just hung up the phone after whatever they have to say. One broker got my name and number few years back and promise me to give me great deal. He cheated me by making me sing the contract and change all my business to Entrust. I end up getting higher bill and paying more. I did not authorize to one of my business and reach out to Entrust, but they are charging me early termination fees. I have 3 other accounts with Entrust as commercial account and never pay late in last 2 years. They don't give me the credit and don not listen to me that the broker cheated with his sales pitch and switch all my business by tricking me and use my signature in other paper. The broker is not with the company anymore. I am going to get a lawyer involve and sue Entrust if I don't get a credit and if they don't get this early termination fees dismiss. I even give my signature and my id showing that I did not authorize this business and even send the email 30 days before they switch and send email right after I get notification about switching. They have a bad customer service and don't care if I have 4 other business accounts and I know lot of folks in Houston area who have businesses. I will hire a lawyer and sue this company by charging me more rates and other stress they have given me in last 3 months.

Do not show any bill, do not trust them, I have been a victim. Everything is tricky. Just search on Google the reviews before thinking in anything with them. Hope my problem gets a solution. This is the worst energy company
Everything about this this company is horrible customer service and the billing is a arm and leg. For a month I have paid over $700 dollars. I have written to the Texas Public Utility of Texas and haven't heard from them and it has been 2 weeks. PLEASE PEOPLE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY

Bad process & ugly customer service
I am surprised to hear for the first time that Entrust does not provide a account closure email while they have a big and colorful welcoming email and physical copies... How do I know if my account is really closed.. they can charge me anytime saying I have not cancelled my services... customer service reps are very rude and they do not have time tom resolve issue....

Entrust Energy....A SCAM
A lady came to the door and said ENTRUST had bought out TXU Energy and she was going around notifying people that their next bill will be from Entrust instead of TXU. She asked me to sign saying I'd been notified....then they switched me to Entrust. I called TXU the following day and found it was indeed a LIE. TXU switched me back right then. I got a bill for 20$ from Entrust..did not pay it and they have turned it over to collections. I am on limted income & do not need this hassle.

DNP Charges
After being with this company since 2011 they have now started to charge me a DNP charge. They state it is because I pay my bill late. Ok, I pay a late fee with it ever time this happens. If I choose to pay my bill late that is up to me. They already get a 5% late fee ow on top another $20. They never told me this and it just showed up on my bill this yer after 4 years. Best believe I am looking to change my company today!!!

Awful Customer Service
Right now, as i am writing this i am at 25 minutes on hold. what a joke. worst part is that this is the 5th call i have made to entrust on the same issue (inappropriate charge of early termination penalty). i have received assurances that the issue was resolved but it never actually happens. I think the customer service reps just have the liberty to say anything they want to get off the phone. i would compare their customer service to be on the same level as comcast.

BAD Business
I will admit I did agree to switch service. Like an idiot. I reviewed al the information and called and cancelled the service with the 3 Business days and NOW MONTHS later i get a letter from a collection company saying I owe Entrust Energy money. Entrust never sent me a bill. Lived at the same address for over 20 years never had a problem getting bills here.

Sounds like the same as others. A gentleman knocked on my door claiming to decrease my electric bill, which being a single parent sounded great! But low and behold I get the first bill and it's almost $300! I am rarely home so why is it that high? I call customer service and they tell me the same old tired line about things being plugged up when I'm not home. And what is this $75 charge? To me that's paying the company twice for one service! They sale your personal information to other companies
This company sales your personal information to other companies. When I called in they denied it however they had the account name wrong and the advertisement we received was in that name. No other company had our name wrong. The advertisement that came was in the name that they had on file before we got them to finally change the name to the correct name.I would NOT recommend this company to ANYONE.

Was lied to by sales person about what I would pay as a costumer.
Very unhappy about the deceptive sales pitch by the door to door sales person.
I was told that I would be paying $.09 per kWh for a two year contract period. He never mentioned to me at any point that there would be another charge that would put the actual charge up to $.14 per kWh. His $.09 pitch was the reason I signed their two year contract.
Even after asking many questions about charges, I was completely lied to by the sales person.....

Scams and worst customer service.
I was switched over to entrust energy without calling nor without singing any documents. I received a letter in the mail saying a switch had been made, when I called to get more information they insisted that it was not fraud and that an entrust representative had been to my home and i had verbally agreed to switch my company. When i asked for proof no one was able to provide me with proof. The customer service representative explained that if someone at the home verbally agreed to switch then entrust will take it as a confirmation without verifying if the person is the homeowner and make the switch themselves. I didn't want any verbal confirmation over the phone i simply asked for proof of this so called contract to be sent to the address they have on file but the representative was hesitant to help me and when I asked to be transfer to a supervisor he refused, he told me that if I was unable to provide him with more identifying information no supervisor could help me. He was rude and unhelpful, I was a victim of fraud thanks to entrust energy, and when I asked for proof no one was able to help me. Do not trust those door to door salesmen they will just scam you. We haven't even spoken to anyone from entrust prior to the notification that our electricity company was changed and apparently it was taken upon the representative himself to make a switch without verifying if who they possibly talked to even lived in that home. I have been scammed by entrust energy and they have been very unhelpful through the process.

Entrust Energy not to be TRUSTED
We recently swapped over to Entrust Energy at the urging of a sales rep by the name of Necie, who promised lower rates and an overall lower bill. Needless to say, this was not the case. Our bills increased well beyond that of our previous provider. We were signed in at a rate of 7.6 cents per kW, which was considerably lower than our previous rate. What was withheld was the TDU upcharge. 85.00$ for a delivery charge on top of our bill, and this was not a part of the conversation with this sales rep. Based on the number of disgruntled subscribers to this service, I would dare say that a class action lawsuit would not be difficult to pursue. Nothing about what was discussed in the sales pitch was accurate or honest. This is a horrible company to do business with. Look at the other reviews... do not be swindled. If you look closely at the HIGH ratings, it is obvious that these people are clueless or are employees of this disreputable company. We will be switching to another provider and will not be paying a cancellation fee. If $300 dollars has to be spent, it will be spent towards a lawyer in hopes of bringing this company to it's knees.

Such Liars
I was working in my yard when I was approached by two guys stating that they are working with Entrust a company that works with the state of Texas to assist customer with lowering their electric bill. One guy actually stated that I would still have the same electric company that I currently have but my bill would come from a different company (REALLY!!!!!) I live in LaPorte, I have already alerted the Police Department about this scam....and trust me it is a scam. If I see these guys in my neighborhood I will call the cops!!!!!!!! What in the HELL?!
Where do I even start here? Two people show up at my home at 6 pm. I'm sorry, what are 90% of Americans doing at 6 pm? Either cooking dinner or eating it! To start with the guy talking doesn't introduce himself, doesn't say what company her works for (I only know because of his shirt, seriously the ENTIRE time he never once mentioned the company.), doesn't even say what they are doing at my home. He starts off by saying that there has been a rate increase in my electricity (I'm sorry, how does he know who my provider is?) recently and he'd like to see a copy of my bill. Ok let me just pause here. EVERY door to door electric scam starts with asking for the customer's current bill. It's nosy and intrusive! I tell him that I only get ebills and also I'm in the middle of cooking dinner. This guy, he says, "Oh ok, well we'll come back in 5 minutes." WHAT?! In what universe does it take five minutes to cook and eat dinner?! I tell him no, I will be cooking at least another 45 minutes. He says, "Well we'll come back in an hour and why don't you print that ebill and have it ready for us?" I can't even BEGIN to tell you how irritating it is to have someone who's trying to sell something sit and not only inconvenience you but also boss you around! So I go back in, finish cooking, feed myself and my kids and completely intend on ignoring and knocks at my door. We finish dinner, I get my kids bathed, it's now 2 hours later at 8 and no one ever came back. Though honestly, that THRILLS me. I sure hope these people never, ever show up at my door again. EVER.

SCAMS AND LIES
2 days ago A young girl comes to my door about signing up for Entrust service, everything sounds great.. she said I would have a fixed rate of 8.6 and how cheap her bill is and theres 9 people in her household and the bill is never over $90 (surprisingly she didn't have a bill with her).... I spoke with her manager and a guy over the phone which confirmed that I would get the rate with $0 deposit with approved credit and it would take 3 federal business days to process my order if I signed up. So, I provided the guy over the phone my information just to see if I would get approved for the best plan at 8.6 rate with $0 and that I had 3 federal business days to decide if I want them as my provider. The next thing I know I called the very next day to decline the switch of my service to Entrust since I had 3 days to do so and come to find out Entrust had already switch my service to them.... IAM LIVID!!! I spoke with a rep with Entrust and she told me she would send in an order to switch me back to my previous provider and it could take up to 21 days to fully process the order (WTF) and any charges will be sent to my provider (WTF) .... DON'T SIGN UP WITH A COMPANY THAT LIES FROM THE START... I'VE NEVER HEARD OF A COMPANY THAT CAN JUST SWITCH A CUSTOMER TO THEIR SERVICES QUICKLY AND THERES A REASON WHY BECUASE THEIR UNTRUTHFUL! I contacted my provider and told them the issue so they sent a order as well for me to remain their customer and noted my account about the issues with no problems... This better be handled like Entrust stated or you'll hear about this angry woman in Texas campaigning against their company! LISTEN TO ME PEOPLE DO NOT TRUST THEM... EVEN THEIR NAME IS A HUGEEEEEEE LIE!!!

This company is a scam
Very 1st bill was extremely high and I got the first bill before I received any paperwork. I called to cancel service and was disrespected by the rep and told the cancellation fee would be $300.00. I was never told anything about that and requested that they send me that in writing. I never got the paperwork. This company is a scam. Do not use them. I'm going to try my case in court, hoping that our governmental leaders will not let this terrible company rip off their citizens.

Salesman with attitude!!!
Their salesman literally just left my door. I am really unsure of what in the heck that sales tactic was!! Wow just wow!! I answer the door and he introduces himself and says that I am on his list as a power user.....well duh!!! Then he proceeds to tell me in order to get me off the list he needs to know what my power company is??? I said I'm not interested he says in e very smart tone that he is not selling anything (well you are or you would t be at my door). I again say no thanks I'm not interested and he puts in hand in the air and winks very sarcastically. If I ever choose to switch my power I promise you these people will not be on MY LIST as a potential company to purchase from!!! Ever!!! And I will tell everyone I know about this experience! I cannot believe that this company allows their employees to treat potential customers in this manner! Even if I wasn't interested he just lost them a ton on business and to think this guy is walking around my neighborhood right now treating others that don't sign up like this and then when I asked who he was with he tried to hide the name on his shirt....too late!!! Call me & put me on hold!
Not only have they been calling me every day and putting me on hold when I answer, they also are unable to answer incoming phone calls. Claim my account is past due when I have cleared checks from my bank. Been on hold 15 minutes and counting! They bought Reach energy & sent me numerous letters saying our contract would not change & they would honor our existing price yet I got a bill stating I was under no contract and billed at 14 cents. Scam with Hidden Fees - DO NOT TRUST
Same story as others posted. A guy knocks on your door trying to say he can lower your electric bill and needs your information and number to make the change. He made it look like he was from my provider (PECO) but wasn't after talking to hime a shot while. Then I just happen to see the form he was trying to hide during the conversation and noticed there are termination fees (and I'm sure other fees not shown on the form) if I made the switch. I asked him if he could provide me with more information without any written forms or signing anything and he se he couldn't do that but would call me after the agreement. I quickly told him that I do not sign anything quickly and that I would look up the reviews of the company online and if it's good, that I would switch. Thank goodness I did just that and have read mostly bad reviews about the company he tried switching me to. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST BEFORE SWITCHING TO ANYTHING. Worst customer service ever.
The customer service from this company is a joke. A few months ago we had to change our billing information with them, and shortly after we recieved a notice that our payment had been declined because they failed to actually change our billing information. When we called to see what was wrong we discovered that they never actually changed it when we called the first time, and when we asked if we could get the billing information corrected at that time we were told they their system could not change our info at that time and we would have to call back tomorrow to get it changed. (we were never told why we had to wait a day, i suspect the service rep simply didn't want to bother with us.) The next day we called again, and were told once more that we could not be helped over the phone, and that maybe we should try changing our billing information on their website. We tried this, and lo and behold, the next month we get their automated robot call again because they have STILL FAILED to change our billing information. This is the third month that in a row that we have been told our billing info was corrected, and the third month that we have apparently been lied to. Absolute incompetence, we will definitely not be renewing our contract when it expires.

Total rip off
Same story folks. Guy comes to my house says they have a plan at 8.8 per kWh. Plus 20 for tdu, that won't change. Sounds great. Just got my bill it's 13.4. What!?! I used to pay 9.6, total. I can get 10.1. Entrust, either match that or let me go. I will not be lied to.

No Deception, No tricks, No "Policing", Positive Sales Man!
Luis knocked on my door, and asked to speak with an adult. I was not in the mood for sales people. I have to say I made him wait in the Hot Texas Sun for a good 10 minutes. When I stepped outside, Luis first identified himself as being a representative of Entrust Energy. He then told me that many companies overcharge for electricity, and he would like to see if his company could save me any money on my electric bill. My surly response was something along the lines of what are your kilowatt rates? He told me that he would like to compare the rates his company can offer me with what I am currently paying, and then asked if I had an electric bill he could use to show me. I told him I would have to look. I went back into my air conditioned house and, after about 10 minutes, I went back outside and told him that I did not have a copy of a bill that he could look at. He then asked me if I knew what my current rates were. I told him yes, but did not tell him what I was currently paying. He then pulled out a paper and explained that he could give me a certain kilowatt rate. This was based on a certain amount of useage, was a two year fixed rate, the contract would include a 300 dollar early termination fee if I chose to leave before the contractual agreement date. He then explained that the TOD rate would be billed at the TOD rate with no up charge from entrust. He explained that if taxes went up or down that would affect my bill as well as a couple of other things like that. He also showed me rates that were based on lower amounts of useage. I asked if I had a power outage or anything like that who would I contact...entrust or tnp? We discussed that in some detail because some things would go through entrust and others through tnp. He also told me that I would be given an emergency number to call if anything happened outside of normal business hours. I then asked him how much of a deposit I would have to pay. He asked if my service had been disconnected for nonpayment in the last 6 months. I said no, but my credit score is not the best. He said that he could not tell me about the deposit. He would have to call the office, they would need to verify certain information (which he also explained), and then they would ask for my permission to run a credit check. He said he believed it was a utility credit check. He then told me that it would take about 5 to 10 minutes, and if Entrust wanted me to pay a deposit just to tell the lady I wasn't interested. He said if you are already with one electric company, and you are basically satisfied, and another wanted you to pay a large deposit then they weren't really saving you money. He did tell me that he had already visited with some other people in the area, and a few of them were told they would have to pay a deposit. I said I am not interested in any type of deposits. He then told me again that he had no way of knowing himself if a deposit would be required, but if I was willing to let him make that call we could find out. I said go ahead, but I don't expect much. TXU had been by not that long ago and had wanted a huge deposit. He made the call. The young lady called me on my phone to verify my number. She had me verify some information, and ran the check. She told me that I qualified for NO deposit. She explained that if I agreed to switch to entrust, they could email me the full contract, my rights, etc. She also asked if I understood that I could cancel my request within three federal business days with no penalties. I agreed. Luis then gave me some paperwork that contained his personal cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns that he could help me with or that he could at least get me to the right person to help me. He told me that there was also a referral program that could save me a little more on my bill if I knew of anyone else that I thought they could help save money. This was very well presented and not pushy at all. It came across as just more information that he wanted me to be aware of. He did not go into detail about it, but did tell me it would be in the papers that they emailed to me. He then told me that he had no way of knowing if we would qualify or not, but there was another program that works with all electric companies in Texas that I could look into and apply for if I wanted. He gave me the information to contact them at my discretion. I write this review because I have seen many reviews on here that talked about the salesman trying to "police" the area, trying to trick people into switching companies without realizing what they were doing, and basically just trying to fleece people. My salesman's name was Luis. He was met by a surly skeptic. He was hot, made to wait in the hot sun and get hotter, he was honest, and explained in detail what his company had to offer. He could not compare bill to bill, or apples to apples as we say around here, because I did not provide him with my current information. He never disrespected any other electric company. He very simply and clearly explained what his company could do for me. If he did not know the answer to a question I had, he told me so. Then offered to make a phone call and find out for me. He offered to wait if I wanted to research his company and read online reviews. He left my home with a cold drink and a sale.

Cheaper
We signed a 2 year contract and so far they have been way cheaper than txu. Our lights also stay on more often during storms than they did with txu. We haven't had any problems yet and hope there will not be any.

Trust should not be part of your name
I wish I had read your reviews before I was succored into purchasing your plan. The experience in the others reviews was the exact same for me. A college student came door to door with a list of neighbors signing up! And she had mu billing information and told me how much I would save with your company. Since I am a person of integrity, I believed her and thought a company would not send a rep out with false information just to lure in customers. I was wrong. She lied, though she was probably saying what she was told to say. It was not the same as stated in your contract that I received in the mail several days later, as she did not mention the TDU up charge . When I called to inquire and cancell, I was told that I could not and sorry, I must have understood. You people are liars and scam artists and I have 30 days on my 2 year contract. I could not be happier to get you off my payroll.

Don't need to sign on to see how shady they can be.
A couple of gentlemen came by earlier this week. While I'm normally not inclined to take anything from door-to-door sales, I wasn't in a position to pretend there was nobody home.
They insisted I was being overcharged for my utilities, and showed me a copy of someone else's bill from my provider, insisting that at their rates (7.8 cents a kWh), they would have made this $200+ electric bill less than $50.
As I'm very much of the mentality of, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is", I quickly scanned the bill in the Entrust guy's hand, and saw that about two-thirds of the bill was from an outstanding balance, while his <$50 estimate was calculated with the latest month's. That's EXTREMELY relevant to the math at hand and skews the numbers immensely.
Further, the 7.8 cent charge on their rate sheet is there, sure, and it's even highlighted to draw the eye to it, but that says, "Energy charge", while very nearby on the same row for that plan is 11.3 cents listed as "Price at 2000 kWh."
You deliberately tried to skew the facts, Entrust, and were tremendously dishonest. I don't care if you have Customer Service from Heaven Above. I don't trust you, and I won't be using you.

Aweful energy company.
I have been in Texas for about 3 years now. My most expensive bill with my original company was $200 and that was at about 2900 kilowatts used. My first bill with entrust was $300. I allowed the sales person I coach me while I was on the phone. He told me that they will ask me a question that sounds confusing and for me to just say yes. I asked what it was and he said it was complicated. I asked him for a list of all of the fees that I would receive every month and he said only the meter reading and taxes, that was it. There are many hidden fees with this company that make it outrageous. We were also supposed to receive in the mail and via email a copy of the agreement paperwork and we still haven't received it. Since that day , my bill has be outrageous. One month we didn't run the hearing or air and it was still over $250.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. I feel like we have been lied to and we are very very upset with them. I am going to make a complaint to the utility commissioner and to the BBB if things aren't handled soon!!

I had a feeling it may have sounded too nice
Same story as a lot of people here. Two ladies came to my door, one in training. I had month to month with reliant because I have never been a fan of contracts but decided to give it a try. I currently paid 11 and some odd cents for month to month with Reliant. They told me due to my credit I had no deposit, would pay 7 cents and would see a savings of about $2.50 per day. My daily cost with reliant varied depending on the season, but never dipped below $4 per day and never more then $6 per day. My first bill for November to December with Entrust was $246 which comes to about $8.2 per day. I thought that maybe its just because of my first bill, maybe there was a charge or something. I attempted to call them maybe 5 or 6 times, with hold times over 45 minutes. A few times I got disconnected after 30 minutes of holding. I pressed 2 to get a call back and have only received one 1 time. of course I was on my work line when the call came in. The other 2 times I never got a call back. I am currently waiting for one right now as a matter of fact. Its been 2 hours.I realized something was wrong when my second bill came in for December to January and its again $245. I checked my check book and I paid less than $200 with reliant in July and August, and September and October was less than $170. I am confused, I do not understand. I give Entrust a A plus for hidden fees. And an A plus in avoidance. Do NOT buy from them.

Horrible to nonexistent customer service
Do not recommend this company, I have been on hold over an hour to pay my bill and there still hasn't been an answer. I was told I would save money, this just isn't true. but the worst is you cannot call them and their website also doesn't work to pay the bill just says unable to process at this time try again later which I have tried over and over, I have been trying to pay my bill and it is impossible and I am getting late fees for a bill I am UNABLE to pay. what a scam. also the TDU charges range from 50 to 60 a month, how does that work? my bill has not even been that much with other companies and with this one it is 230 a month. How can this even be possible, and sadly I cannot call them, cannot pay my bill online, they are gonna end up disconnecting me for their own incompetence. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Higher use and no response from customer "service"
Got the con about how much lower the killowat hour would be but then the "pass through" fees were enough to bring the true cost up to within a fraction of a cent diff. Felt like my wife got conned on that switch. Then our bills went to new highs in usage and I tried to call and find out about having the meter checked. Wait time was almost an hour. I gave up and pressed the # to get a call back but still waiting. I went on the website and sent emails to contact (4 times now) but still have had no contact. Almost worth the $300 to change. My wife is ready to change as we never had problems getting a person to talk to if we tried with our other company.

Horrible Probider! Feeling scammed - looks I'm the the first review of 2014
Kinda same as lot of other reviews ... Guy came to my door started explaining about Etrust Energy low rates even asked for one of my current bills and showed me I was paying over 11cents kw (never really been the type to pay much attention) he said that with Etrust I would pay only 7.4cents kw and that they didn't charge all this extra fees I was paying with Reliant as he pointed at them, he said my bill would be about half what I was paying (of course I never believed it would be that good but figured at 7.4 cents compared to 11+cents I had to see some savings especially because they putting on a contract.. Long story short charging me 11c kw but my problem here is that I've never in my life had a $300 light bill especially for December... Just me and the wife in the house, no washer/dryer, never cook don't really use the heater much $300? Impossible! Would maybe believe it on a hot summer month... Tried to to get in touch with them but nearly impossible 43 minutes waiting on the line decided to press to so that they'll call me back at a random worst possible time of course I try to explain the situation but he just said is all digital if I think there's a mistake or bad reading to contact Oncor... Then I told him that I was told was going to be paying about 7.4cents kw he just said they have recording of clients agreeing to extra fees. Of course there's a big cancelation fee... Not being rude but didn't seem to care just like when the door sales guy called the first time to do the switch (sales guy was nice but guessing liar) Even tho reliant supposibly was charging me more I never felt ripped off like this... I want to give Bounce energy now but now I'm afraid they'll pull a similar stunt... DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUYS I don't know what got into me I know when a sales man knocks your door is never good I plan to spread the word as much as possible Facebook, YouTube Craigslist

Trying to trust Entrust to take care of my mom.
Mom is a 78 year old woman lives alone on a fixed income.She has recently received an unfriendly phone call threatening to disconnect her power due to late bills.It is winter, Mom very confused and worried.She made the switch to save money ,so she thought. Power usage increased four times in a month. I don't think so. "Lady pay us 150.00 dollars or we'll shut off your power!!" maybe your using too many heaters in your house." We still haven't received your money."She was told. They did shut power off for a few hours,they received money so power is back on. Her bills don't show her being behind on bills,it shows usage increased four times than normal she lives alone. there is something wrong with this.So she paid 150.00. next billing cycle pay your normal bill plus 45.00. and again a second time.Total of almost 300.00 for supposedly of non payments.

Rip off/ PLEASE AVOID THE IS COMPANY. TDU CHARGE THRU THE ROOF
We had to gentlemen show up one afternoon stating we were being over charged by our electric provider. They did the side by side comparsion to show how we were being over charged and told us there rate. I asked about the tdu charges and the sales rep stated that charges would be no more than what we are paying now. So they got 2 birds with one stone because my nephew was standing outside with me. Our first bill was about a 100.00 bucks more than what we normally pay. About 80 bucks went to the tdu charge. I called the customer service line and informed them off the high tdu charges and the Lady explained that the tdu was high because we just switched over and it should go down by the next billing cycles. WE HAVE YET TO SEE THE TDU CHARGE GO DOWN. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM THE DOOR TO DOOR SALESMEN WILL FLAT OUT LINE IN YOUR FACE JUST TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP. ONCE YOU HAVE SWITCHED OVER NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU COMPLAIN THE 300. EARLY CANCELATION FEE WILL BE CHARGED. WELL THEY MIGHT WAS WELL GET READY FOR A SLOW PAY CANCELATION FEE. HOW'S ABOUT A DOLLAR A MONTH. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY
Dear J. Hall - I am sorry for your poor experience with our company. Please send me the name/address on your account so I can look to see what is going on with your TDU fees. The agent is correct - you should not pay more with one provider than the next with respect to TDU charges. However, they way they appear on your bill can vary depending on the type of plan you have. Many companies have "bundled" rates in which a majority of the TDU charges are included in the Energy Price. At Entrust Energy, we do not "bundle" in any TDU charges - all of them are send directly from the TDU to you, without mark-up. If your previous provider included the charges in the rate, and you were trying to compare rates with Entrust Energy, the only true way to do this is compare the "Average Price per kWh" which all companies are required to disclose on your bill. I will be more than happy to compare your old bill with our bill. If your current average price is higher, I will be more than happy to either match the rate if I can or let you switch to another company without a penalty. I look forward to hearing from you soon. SORRY, SORRY, SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE 45 MIN. WAIT TIME
I HAVE BEEN WITH ENTRUST FOR A YEAR AND FIVE MONTHS.. LAST MONTH (DEC 17 2013) AS MY FAMILY AND I WAS SITTING IN THE LIVING ROOM, THE LIGHTS WENT OUT. I LOOKED OUTSIDE FOR NEIGHBORS, NONE WHERE OUT.. I CALLED ONCOR TO CHECK FOR OUTAGES.. THE MESSAGES THAT CAME FOR MY ADDRESS WAS THAT AT THE ELECTRIC COMPANIES REQUEST, SERVICES WHERE DISCONNECTED! IMMEDIATELY I WAS UPSET.. OUR BILL HAD BEEN PAID IN FULL. SO I CALL ENTRUST AND I WAS ON HOLD FOR OVER 40 MINUTES AND FINALLY SOMEONE ANSWERED THE PHONE AND I BEGAN TO ASK WHY WAS MY LIGHTS OFF. THE YOUNG LADY PROCEEDS TO INFORM ME THAT SOMEONE AT MY HOME REQUESTED FOR ANOTHER COMPANY TO PROVIDE SERVICES.. NO, NOT TRUE AT ALL BEING THAT MY HUSBAND AND I ARE THE ONLY TWO ADULTS IN THE HOME.. CHILDREN 7 AND UNDER IN HOME.... LONG STORY SHORT.. I ASK FOR A SUPERVISOR, WHICH WAS RUDE AND UNCARING AND I HAD TO REPEAT EVERYTHING THAT I TOLD THE PREVIOUS REP. OH DID I SAY I HAD TO WAIT 15 MINS FOR THE SUPERVISOR? SO THE SUPERVISOR SAID SHE WOULD "TRY" AND HAVE MY LIGHTS BACK ON TODAY! I SAID MA'AM THAT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE DUE TO THE FACE THAT I HAVE TWO, COUNT THEM TWO PEOPLE THAT ARE ON OXYGEN MACHINES AND WE HAVE TO HAVE ELECTRIC Y BACK ON TODAY AND FAST. AGAIN SHE SAID SHE WOULD "TRY" AND NOT VERY CONCERNED WITH MY ISSUES.. SO I HUNG UP AND CALLED MY LOCAL STATE SENATORS OFFICE WHERE A NICE LADY WAS VERY CONCERNED AFTER ME TELLING HER WHAT HAPPENED.. SHE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT MY SERVICED PROVIDER HADN'T CALLED IN TO REQUEST SERVICES TO BE RESTORED AND I HAD TO CALL THEM BACK. TO LET THEM KNOW TO PUT THE ORDER REQUEST IN... WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THE STATE SENATORS OFFICE, THE UNCONCERNED SUPERVISOR FROM ENTRUST CALLED BACK TO SAY THAT MY SERVICES SHOULD BE BACK SOME TIME TODAY.. I EXPLAINED THAT I CALLED ONCOR AND THEY WHERE ALREADY BACK ON.. THANKS! LAST NIGHT 1/8/2014 I WAS ON HOLD 45 MINS. ONCE AGAIN DUE TO THE FACT WE RECEIVED A TERMINATION NOTICE FOR THIS MONTH! WOW! REALLY ENTRUST.. WE PAID OUR BILL FOR DEC AND UNKNOWINGLY MY HUSBAND PAID OVER $225.00 WHAT WAS DUE. SO WE SHOULD HAVE ANY TERMINATION NOTICES IN FACT WE SHOULD HAVE ABOUT $126.00 IN CREDIT... THE SUPERVISOR BEGINS TO WEAVE HER WEB OF DECEIT AND SAYS, AFTER WE CREDITED THE $300.00 EARLY TERMINATION FEE THAT WAS NOT AT YOUR FAULT YOUR BILL FOR JAN IS 99.00 OK LADY WE SHOULD STILL HAVE $126.00 IN CREDIT.. NO YOU ONLY HAVE .30 CENTS IN CREDIT! NO LADY YOUR WRONG, I HAVE A CALCULATOR AND YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR FIGURES.. SHE SAYS HOLD ON.. SHE'S GONE FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO ONLY COME BACK AND SAY WELL YOUR BILL FOR FEBRUARY IS $100 AND SOMETHING DOLLARS!!!! I WAS LIKE WHAT???? ARE YOU SERIOUS! MA'AM WE ARE STILL IN JANUARY AND IT'S ONLY THE 8TH OF JANUARY AND BESIDES WE DON'T HAVE PRE-PAY ELECTRICITY!!! BY THEN I'M REALLY UPSET AND HAVE A VERY BAD HEADACHE!!! LIKE I DO NOW FROM JUST THINKING ABOUT IT! Garbage
This company hires garbage people, to sell them a garbage product. Might as well be MLM. Be prepared to be offered the world (when they offer you a job). Do yourself a favor and run.
As for their customer service and billing? Forget it. Customer service does not know what the word polite means. They are crude, rude, and of no help. I needed three days extra to pay my bill, I have NEVER encountered a company who had a problem with this. Entrust did. They would rather shut me off and have me sit in the dark and cold for three days than offer a courtesy to their customers. They will shut you off as soon as legally possible to be able to collect there $60 in excessive fees.
Now, for those of you who would tell me not to get in a situation where I am late, I was very clear with entrust upon signing up that my bill date NEEDED to be after the 15th because of the way payroll is. They were so kind as to absolutely ignore the request after promising up and down it would not be an issue. Now that I have called, and reminded them multiple times that I requested for my due date to be after the 15th, they are absolutely unable to do it. Also, will not do business with the sales rep be she with entrust or any other company. Carla Sue. She will mislead you.

Don't fall for the scam!! horrible in every way!!
We had a rep come to our door promising a fixed rate of 7.3, but my avg since I signed up has been 10.8!! Received the first bill, outrageous because obviously I did not get the rate I was promised and not only that, CHECK your TDU Delivery charge. It has not been less than $80 on any bill and the last company I was with it never went over $20. Customer Service needs some training in customer service. Very rude and refused to put a manager on the line when I requested. Horrible company!

Can't believe my savings
Had two gentlemen come to my door and say I was pre-approved for a lower rate on my electric bill. I was hesitant at first. They showed me a side by side comparison with my current billing company TXU (comparing apples to apples) & how much I could save. I was shocked TXU was charging me so much and being month to month they informed me my bill could increase every month. Also i was being charged a base charge. I didn't even realize that, now after looking back at old bills, sure enough TXU were gradually increasing my rate each month and had been charging me a $5 charge just to receive my bill. I switched over a few months ago and today googled Entrust Energy to get their customer service number because I lost the one the rep gave me, he said I could call in and switch to average billing if I liked, I ran across this page & felt like I should leave a review. The rep was so nice & left me with his cell number if I had any problems down the road. I have since sent him a lot of neighbors because they were being overcharged as well. Happy & paying around $90 less for a bill I receive anyways. Great company.

They lowered my bill!!!!!
Wow I had these two guys in blue shirts knock and ring my doorbell, one of them was in training and the other was a manager. They asked me for my bill and I didnt have one because I was paperless with green mountain, the trainee froze and didnt know what to do and the manager logged in to my green mountain account on his phone, I was getting 16 cents average!!!!!! What a ripp off.... it took us 5 minutes to call houston and make the switch and I got 7.3 for 2 years! They broke down my bill with a side by side comparison and they showed me a 134.85 dollar savings per month! Highly recommend

#1 Electric Company in Texas
Tried just about all these electric companies in Texas and by far Entrust Energy is the lowest bills I've ever had no monthly service charge no hidden fees and Tdu delivery charges based on who yiur lical meter and pole company is which no electricity company has control of it's not there charges is your local pole and meter charges basically they have been the best so far and live the low fixed rate for 2 yrs I would recommend this company to anyone if they wanna pay less for there electricity.

DO NOT CHANGE TO THIS COMPANY
My first bill was a partial bill and everything seemed ok.. THEN I got my first bill and had a $60 TDU fee. normal companies charge $3-6 a month. I called and the guy basically laughed at me and told me since I signed a 2 year contract it would be $300 to cancel. i will take my sweet time paying that fee!

Lowered My Bill Over $220 bucks a month
I switched from TXU, because they just got more and more expensive. Two guys came to my door & showed me they could lower my bill. Showed me that they had no base charges, no minimum usage fees & now my bill is half of what it was. I never realized that TXU was charging me a base charge every month. i also didn't realize that being month to month they were increasing my energy charge every month, they locked me into the Entrust 24 so my rate won't go up. Also when I call customer service i'm talking to someone in Texas rather than someone half way around the world. Just received my 4th bill & couldn't be happier.

Whatever you do don't go with this company
So I got two nice salesman at my door telling me how I am being over charged for my electricity use and long story short, like everyone else I wanted to save some money. It was going to take two months for Entrust to switch me over. Well I decided to stay with my old electric service and when I called to let Entrust know I was no longer interested the customer service rep let me know that I was going to have to pay a $200 cancellation fee for services I was not receiving yet. How is this company going to try to charge a cancellation fee when my services didn't start until the following month?

Can't believe door to door people told me the truth
So was paying about 4 cents over what I should have with TXU (if you haven't already, SWITCH!). Had been with them nearly 20 years, found out I've been paying about a hundred dollars a month more than I should have. Got my most recent bills and it went down by a 145.82!!! Those pennies add up apparently. Would highly recommend.

They left me wondering, what just happened?
Two sales people showed up at my door this afternoon, as stated in other reviews, they represented themselves as a "policing" company and the gentleman even introduced his partner as "officer". I cut them off and told them I wanted to know their bottom line and actual energy charge, did it include the TDU charges. They very quickly presented an Electricity Facts Label, but not long enough for me to review it and then offered to calculate my average charge with my current company to compare it to theirs. I told them I had just recently calculated it myself because I just happened to be up to renew contracts with my current company or was willing to switch. Next thing I knew, they told me I was the only customer they met that actually calculated this themselves (I never go by the average costs, I always calculate the actual cost using my old bills). Then abruptly said thank you for your time and left!?! I laughed and thought what just happened???? Must have been a scam and I see that now from the reviews. Good luck on the next offer.

WORST COMPANY ALL LIES AND VERY DECEPTIVE
Had a guy come to my house and tell me he can save me money on my electric bill. Says he has a 7.5 cent per kilowatt hour deal. Told us that if we used 1000 kilowatt hours our bill would be 75.00 and no other fees. My husband and I was skeptical and asked him flat out. Everyone has a delivery charge and he insisted 6 times (because we asked 6 different ways). GO WITH YOUR GUT OUR INSTINCT WAS TO THROW THE LIAR OUT. Well the electricity was 145 but the bill was $213 because the rest was fees and charges from Entrust. This bill was 40 more than the bill would have been with my old company. Talked to Entrust and they basically said my tough luck and deal. NEVER AGAIN.

Tdu charges
I am a currently customer with entrust energy. i have switched from just energy in July and was guaranteed that my light bill was going to be lowered. my last just energy bill was 111.88 and entrust energy is now 177.27. how is this possible? all just energy surcharges was half the price of entrust. entrust TDU is $48.50 while just energy is $2.18. can you contact me at texas1cowboys@gmail.com to resolved this matter.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This nice young man came to my door claimed he was trying to help lower our electric bill. He said after reviewing a past bill said we were on a month to month with our current company and with a quick check he would see if we were eligible. I explained I would need to consult my husband before any decision was made. He said no problem just answer yes to the first question, tell them you want English information, than they will send you an information packet to review and than you both can decide if this is right for you. I agreed but soon after I spoke with my husband and learned we were under contract with our current provider. I redialed the number Entrusts verification people had called me from and told the operator we were under contract and therefore not interested in their program. Much to my surprise she told me we had already been listed as a sale and an account had been opened!!! She went on to say the switch between companies was scheduled to take in the morning! I tried to correct her but she was no help. She said she could do nothing and I would have to take the matter up during business hours with their customer service dept. since we were now their customers!!!WARNING TO ALL AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A young man came to my door and explained the base rate and tdu charges! I signed a 2 year contract and my bill has been lower than my bill has ever been. The avg price per kwh was actually lower than what he told me! This is a great company I have got my entire family signed up!

False trust for Entrust
Two guys from entrust showed up at my house and told me that they where registering everyone in our neighbor hood for energy savings. They where not certified by by our city to solicit in our town. They where deceptive in their representation of Entrust energy. Don't trust Entrust!

False Advertising!! Door to Door Deception
Two guys from Entrust Energy showed up at my door. They were wearing photo identification and a company uniform. They presented themselves as a policing agency saying that the area I live in is being overcharged for electricity. This, they claimed, was because my smart meter was not working properly. They then proceeded to inform me that because of this "malfunction," I now qualify for a special utility service to compensate for this. Repeatedly they told me that they were not trying to sell me something. They made it sound like they would be going after my current electric provider. It was not until after fifteen to twenty minutes of talking with these guys that I realized they were going to be "helping me" by switching my service. I refused to go any farther and did not switch my service. If they are trying to deceive me to sign up what will they do once I am a customer? After they left I looked up reviews of this company and found a lot of disturbing reviews. I would not trust this company.

In December a nice young man and young lady came to my door trying to get me to switch to Entrust, I was promised an excellent rate with no deposit and promised no hidden fees, While enrolling me he passed his phone to me to confirm with all the information I provided and this woman also confirmed my rates,plan and no extra fees. Well my first bill was higher than any previous electric bill I have ever received, I called the company in January to dispute these extra charges, the customer service girl explained the pass thru charges!!!! My December bill is usually very low due to we do not use AC or Heating!!! I am so upset and was scammed, I can not change providers or I will be charged 300.00. I got absolutely no where with this woman. About 60% of my neighbors also signed up and they also are Extremely Angry. WE are all fighting these scammers, I have contacted PUC and My Attorney. It is really sad because you just can't trust anyone. This is the Absolutely Worst Provider!!!!! Look closely at your bills!!!!!!

Was skeptical but entrust is the real deal
First off I have been reading nothing but negative reviews which shocks me I have NEVER had a cheaper electric bill then I'm getting now from Entrust. I had TXU for that's but they are to expensive, I've tried Reliant, Direct and Just Energy and turn this young girl knocked on my door pitching Entrust I was more than skeptical but she thoroughly explained everything and eased my skepticism. That was a few months sgo and I love entrust, my bills are cheaperand there are no extra fees.

Horrible plan & customer service plus they lied to me
Some guy came to my with my info already and said if i signed up i would pay 7 cents pkw and receive $200 to reimburse myself for the cancellation charges i would incur with my previous company. Well i did sign up with them and low and behold 7 months later i have not received any money and im paying close to 12 cents pkw. Called and spoke w cs and sups and they said sorry but you were 3 days late in signing up so you dont qualify for the $200 incentive. I told them that the sales guy signed me up but they wouldnt heae of it. I called the sales guy but of course the phone numver has been disconnected. Never will believe in promotional pitches.

They Cheat you on TDU Pasthrough charge
A friend asked me to switch to entrust. During the sign up. They had a good kilowatt charge rate compared to others. No account minimum. So I was like why not. I had the largest bill I've ever had because they CHEAT THEIR CUSTOMERS on this charge called TDU Pass Through charge. It allowes them to quote a cheap kilowatt per hour during sales but you end up with a very high bill. I might sue them. DO not switch to them. This charge is usually about 3 to 6 dollars. Mine is over 100 a month!

Good company until it is time to renew
Entrust called and sent a few letters telling me that my contract was up and it was time to renew. I decided to go with a different company that had a better rate. Entrust then hit me with a $200 early cancelation fee. They had told me that my contract was up. It turns out that I actually had 2 weeks left on the contract. Customer service was no help. When trying to talk to a supervisor about lowering the fee they just say that no one is available but that they will have someone call back but no one ever does. I will not recommend this company to anyone. $200 for being 2 weeks early is excessive and since I switched companies they will not work with me.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!
A very nice young lady came to my door to sign me up with Entrust Energy. They were offering a very competitve rate. I specifically asked if they charged any kind of line usage fees. That is the reason we had not switched to any other companies. She assured me over and over that all I would be billed for was my actual electricity usage. I get the first bill (it was very small due to the time of month that I signed up) and there was a TDU pass thru charge. The next bill I got, my actual energy charge was only $75.47 because we moved, but the TDU pass thru charge was $42.72. More than half of the enery used!!! But it was too late, because they charge $300.00 to cancel the contract. Fortunately, we moved to an area that they do not service!! I was told I wouldn't be charged the $300.00 cancellation fee. I just got a bill with the $300.00 fee on it! I called and was told that it was automatically computer generated and that they would have it removed from my bill. We shall see!

Door to Door RIPOFF!
Not sure if the company is any good, their sales people are crooks. My wife got a visit from their salesman; she informed them we had just renewed our plan, the next thing I see is a welcome packet from them. After being illegally switch, I find out it's easy to do without our permission, there is little to no repercussions to the offending provider, and your current/ex provider will try to keep your early termination fee (Ambit Energy) to apply towards "possible future invoices." Best solution, call the PUC, I did and it made all sorts of things happen that I was assured by my provider (Ambit Energy) would NOT happen. Finally a government agency that works quickly and for the people that pay there salary... thanks Texas PUC!

Do not switch to this company!
I do not recommend this company. I was told that I would be paying less per kilowatt when in fact I ended up paying even more than I was. Customer service sucks. They told me that the rate was disclosed during the signing up process over the phone. How convenient that the call was dropped three times during the processes. They shouldn't lie about selling at a lower rate when they're really more expensive.

HORRIBLE ALL AROUND!!!
This company take advantage of the Hispanic community. There sales personnel compare savings against an average rate on my mothers invoice only to find out the rate they are providing is only for the "electric". portion. If there rate is only for electric then don't make a comparison against an average rate that includes everything.They suckered my mother like that and now she is paying close 13 cents !!! And when you call to speak with a supervisor in Spanish they never call you back even if they say one will in 24 hours!! Very unprofessional. So i decided to speak with supervisor in English this lady was super rude and loud on the phone. No type of customer service skills and this is suppose to be a supervisor. They both need to be retrained. The customer service representative's i spoke were very understanding but they could only do so much. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

So Far So Good
I have Entrust for over 5 months now. A pretty good experience so far, and they don't have all types of fees I was seeing on my previous bill.

Best energy company yet
I believe entrust energy is the best electric company in the game today. They have no monthly customer fee and no hidden charges.(TXU). They gave me 200$ for signing with no deposit.

Best Energy Provider in Texas !
Entrust has got great rates and even better than that the customer service is impeccable. I have never been treated so kindly from the agent that came to my door to the customer service. WHAT A WONDERFUL COMPANY... You should get on board for sure!!
